SUPERVALU Distribution Center Fort Wayne distributes pallets of grocery product to several grocery stores in neighboring states. Our Order Selectors use a headset that tells them what product to select and how many; they use an electric pallet jack to get around the warehouse; the cases of product are manually lifted and stacked on pallets. The cases can weigh up to 80 lbs and be stacked as high as 7 ft. This is very physical work and Order Selectors need to be able to do this continuously. Major order selector responsibilities include speed of selection, accuracy of selection and safety.
Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Selects various grocery, perishable and general merchandise products or supplies from warehouse stock.
Transports product throughout the warehouse via pallet jack of forklift.
Works in a fast paced environment with varying temperatures.
Maintains order selection performance standards of speed and accuracy with minimum damage.
Attends work regularly and on time as scheduled.
Ensures the correct labels are on the correct pallet.
