This is a 3rd shift warehouse position. The working hours are Sunday through Thrusday 10:30pm-7am.
JOB SUMMARY / GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for operating and monitoring an automated cigarette tax-stamping machine.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Other duties may be assigned. A teammate in this position must have the ability to:
Identify and understand numerical sequencing.
Identify product and appropriate tax stamps.
Send cigarette cartons through an automated machine that stamps, repacks and returns them to conveyor.
Monitor automated line and stamp machine to ensure smooth operation.
Monitor and properly report any cigarette package or carton damages.
Maintain a sense of urgency, accuracy and quality of work-within Engineered Labor Standards- to ensure accurate product and shipments.
Maintain a clean work environment.
Continuously stand at a machine while stamping product, using two hands for stamping and stabilizing.
Use correct lifting practices while loading and unloading product to stamping machine and / or conveyor.
Comply effectively with company work and safety rules.
Continually meet assigned production standards.
Maintain a quality of work that limits mispicks, shorts and damages.
Work independently and in a team environment.
Be trained and certified to operate any required equipment within 30 days after hire.
Comply with company attendance policy.
Maintain a flexible work schedule to meet the changing needs of the Distribution Center; work schedules may require working an early shift, staying long for a late shift, and weekend work depending on the customer and operational requirements of the division.
Work in warm and cold temperature conditions that may range from 38°F to 110°F.
Stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, grasp and reach above the head continuously for a period of two hours or more.
Ability and willingness to select/load/unload and/or deliver ALL products that may be ordered by our customers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Instructor Or Lecturer, Data Driven Decision Making
The Integrated Business (IB) Department at the University of Central Florida (UCF) seeks to fill an instructor or lecturer position. The teaching assignment will focus on the program's required Data Driven Decision Making course which shows students how to use public and private data to make informed business decisions through a critical thinking process that includes issue identification, feasible solution generation, optimal decision selection, performance tracking, and persuasive writing.
Students are asked to analyze data to understand how it should influence action steps a business may take, how to use data to define successful outcomes, and how to measure progress. The Data Driven Decision Making course forces students outside of their comfort zones to recognize and evaluate data imperfections while using the best available information sources to shape decisions. The teaching assignment may include other courses in the IB program.
This is a nine-month, non-tenure earning position to start August 8, 2018 (fall semester). The normal teaching load is four classes each fall semester and four classes each spring semester. While the primary assignment is at the UCF main campus, the selected candidate will be required to teach at two or more campuses each semester. Campus assignments could include the main (Orlando), Valencia West, Valencia East, Osceola, and/or Sanford/Lake Mary campuses.
The IB program employs a lead faculty member structure in which the content and structure of each course is developed and maintained by the lead. Instructors and lecturers are expected to focus on high quality course delivery and substantive student engagement.
Instructors and lecturers also provide input on development of common assignment and assessments and changes in course content and structure. The IB program has adopted a flipped classroom approach in which face-to-face class time is used to actively engage students with course material and develop in them a range of soft skills.

Position Minimum Qualifications

Machine Operator Hardener Operator
Perform various duties to operate horizontal electric controlled atmosphere furnaces, vertical heat treating equipment for continuous hardening and tempering various sizes, following prescribed standard methods, practices and procedures. Work from coil identification tags, specifications, various charts, tables, established procedures, written or verbal instructions. Use micrometers, vernier calipers, overhead electric hoists, hand electric truck, various furnace speed and temperature controls and direct reading instruments, Set-ups require threading of leader through furnace, adjustments to speeds, tensions, air flow, oven temperatures, water temperature and pressure to achieve prescribed operating conditions. Calibrate induction heating unit periodically.
Check all coil ID tags for correct specifications and to assure completion of previous operations. Set feed rate and check speed with stop watch. Use overhead hoist to place coil on play out table. Join start of new coil to end of preceding coil by resistance butt welding for continuous operation. Check direct reading instruments for temperature and monitor nitrogen atmosphere make up. As necessary, make adjustments to air jets, induction coils, etc. Cut section from each coil and check teeth and gullet for visual defects. Use vernier caliper to check stretch against reference chart. Secure hardened coils with wire and place on tempering rack. Fill out all appropriate coil / temper tickets and travelers. Transport full racks to tempering area.
Detect and report defective or unsafe equipment and materials, as well as unusual situations.
Observe and obey all safety rules, practices and procedures.

All applicants are subject to, and must satisfactorily pass all screening requirements in relation to National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and credit check.All applicants not currently working in an institution will be required to complete a qualification inquiry regarding convictions of misdemeanor crimes of domestic violence in order to be authorized to carry a firearm.The Core Value Assessment (CVA) is an in-person assessment that must be facilitated at a Bureau of Prisons Human Resource Servicing office.
On the day of the scheduled interview, a CVA will be administered. The applicant assessment must be completed within a 70 minute time period and a passing score must be obtained. Further employment consideration will not be extended if the applicant fails to complete the examination or fails to achieve a passing score.
Note: The Core Value Assessment will not be administered to current BOP employees.Successful completion of the "Introduction to Correctional Techniques," three-week training course at Glynco, Georgia is required.This position has been identified as test designated.
