Our WestRock- Food Service Packaging, Atlanta, GA, plant is seeking qualified candidates to fill Clam Shell Forming Machine Operator/Stacker Positions in the production dept. This is an entry level, hourly position where advancement in operations is expected.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working safe, good communication skills, a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, experience in a manufacturing environment, and a strong desire to succeed and advance in the company.
How you will Impact WestRock:
Ability to safely operate various manufacturing equipment, follow specific directions, and perform duties as assigned.
Ability to work safely, comply with all safety rules, lift, push or pull >50lbs, navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift.
Ability to read a tape measure (to 1/16" measurement, do basic math, and some computer skills.
General mechanical aptitude & trouble shooting skills
Inspect machines to ensure they are mechanically ready for operation.
Ensure the glue is ready for production.
Work on both ends of the machine performing the loading of WIP packing finished product.
Inspect all finished product for any defects.
Weight the product for specific count and pack the product in a RSC.
Tape and seal the product, place on the conveyor line.
Ensure glue is properly adhered to the product and meets bond test requirements.
Accurately and thoroughly fill out daily production records and enter in the computer system.
Maintain full compliance of all GMPs.
Maintain housekeeping excellence in accordance with Golden Broom Program.
Follow all safety procedures and promote safety & safety programs throughout the facility.
Perform all required customer and departmental quality checks, and make adjustments as needed.
Participate and ensure department is compliant with YUM!/AIB audit regulations
Ability to perform complete make ready and shut down
Understanding of Quality Inspection Criteria
Product Identification and Labeling
Maintain Waste and Efficiency standards
Performs inspections on various equipment for proper operation and report questionable conditions
Performs various housekeeping, cleaning, and organizing functions with minimal supervision to ensure areas are clean and free from debris
What you need to succeed
Must be self-starting/self-motivated and able to work independently.
Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and have a sense of urgency to complete tasks accurately and on time.
Good communication skills including the ability to interact with other levels of management and staff.
Industrial manufacturing experience is preferred.
Must be flexible on shift.

Ensure room is clean and sanitized at the beginning and end of shift
Process items – packaging repeatedly throughout the shift based on orders keyed into the system.
Make labels for product being shipped
Re-box and re-label when possible and return product to inventory
Maintain quality of perishable products by ensuring proper rotation
Relay issues of product to supervisor and handle product as necessary.
Ensure inventory accuracy by assisting Inventory Control as needed.
Any other duties requested by supervision.
Adhere to company safety policies and procedures
Adhere to company high risk and sensitive items procedures

Must be able to work in a cold (approximately 34-52 degrees) for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift 25lbs- 50lbs of boxes of produce frequently during the shift

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Linen Sorter.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for collecting soiled linen from Tisch and HCC chute rooms. Collects bags of linen, places in truck and transports to the main soiled linen holding room.

Follows established departmental safety guidelines. Follows established infection control guidelines.
Provides the delivery of clean linen and scrubs to all distribution points in the hospital. Set-ups AM linen carts for delivery of linen to distribution points throughout the hospital.
Collects soiled linen from Tisch and HCC chute rooms. Packs bags of linen in to trucks and transports truck to the main soiled linen collection room. Uses proper personal protective equipment when working in the chute rooms as well as with the soiled linen.
To qualify you must be able to read, speak, write and follow written and verbal instructions in English. Should be able to perform simple arithmetic calculation.
High School Diploma or the equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.

To prepare scrap for recycling by visually inspecting to verify metal type, sorting by scrap category, grinding materials and sizing as necessary. To prepare revert for receipt and transport.
1.Inspects metal scraps of all sizes for cleanliness and necessary processing.
2.Visually inspect metal scraps to determine alloy type.
3.Sorts materials into proper categories for shipment to outside processors.
4.Operates forklift to move and store materials. Load and unload truck shipments.
5.Packages and marks the sorted materials for safe and proper shipment per department instructions.

7.Performs office duties, record keeping, inventory, ordering of supplies, and other tasks asdirected.

Grader/Sorters are primarily responsible for grading and sorting incoming metal products according to factors such as appearance and quality to ensure correct processing and usage. Other responsibilities include general yard cleanup and other maintenance functions.
This is a physical job, so applicants must be able to frequently walk on uneven ground, handle and grasp materials, crouch, bend, reach, climb, twist, push, pull and lift/carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
