Our Minimum Requirements Are
B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or Machine Learning + 5+ years of applied Machine Learning / NLP experience in the industry
Solid knowledge of statistical classifier models (HMM, SVM, deep/recurrent ANN, CRF, LMT, etc.) and of best practices in attribute selection, dimensionality reduction, runtime performance optimization

: Will partner with other Classification Technical Reviewers to address classification needs at the Sandia Site in Livermore, California. Utilizes skills, experience, and knowledge of key national security issues to evaluate scientific advances, technologies, and other information that may, in the interests of national security, require protection.
Develops and maintains classification guidance for use by U.S. government agencies. Analyzes science and engineering publications and activities to identify classified and sensitive information in accordance with sponsor requirements, federal laws, and regulations and in light of openly published research and previously released information. Interprets classification guidelines to categorize information from both ongoing projects and new state-of-the-art technology and reviews technical and security-related material to prevent inadvertent release of classified or sensitive unclassified information.
Evaluates scientific, technical, and program information to ensure the proper classification and protection of national security interests. Reviews documents and materials for proper classification and, with special authority, derivatively declassifies documents and materials. With proper authorization, acts as a derivative classifier (DC) up to the Top Secret Restricted Data level and category.
Develops classification guidance for technical and nontechnical information and supports the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and other agencies in developing and implementing classification and Unclassified Controlled Information (UCI) guidance. Consults with DCs, Subject Matter Experts, and members of the workforce regarding classification questions and provides guidance as necessary.
Develops classification training and provides classification-related briefings to the workforce. Reviews and approves-as Unclassified Unlimited Release or other proper designation-materials to be disseminated outside of Sandia National Laboratories. As needed, works with the external DOE classification community and other government agencies to resolve classification issues for the benefit of customers and to explore ways to resolve overarching classification issues in the DOE complex.

Reviews and approves on Contract Security Classification Specification (CSCS) forms assuring guidance is correct, listed DC is correct, overall clearance levels are correct for work being done, and assures all information on the form is unclassified. Technically competent in the subject areas in which classification authority will be used. Technical background and substantial experience in the development or evaluation of nuclear weapons, or any of Sandia's numerous Work for Others projects.

Processes mail manually or by use of high- speed openers or auto-assist extraction equipment;
Identifies and classifies and sorts documents;
Assembles document batches,
Verifies document and or page volumes;
Lifts large boxes of paper for storage or production use.
Lifts boxes up to 70 pounds; handles time-sensitive materials.

Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested
The Basic Qualifications for this position are as follows:
Must successfully complete a comprehensive 7-year criminal and credit history background check.
Must successfully complete a drug screening.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must hold an active full Top Secret government security clearance
Minimum Experience, Education and Licensure:
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 2 years previous experience in general office work
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Computer skills required: MS Office Suite skills
Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment and relate well to others
Ability to show initiative and commitment to the company’s goals
Ability to readily adapt to changing requirements
Strong commitment to performing and producing at the highest level of quality at all times
Ability to manage individual workflow effectively and improve processes when necessary
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers both in written and verbal communications
Positive attitude focused on customer satisfaction
