Regional Builder Program Manager – Riverside, CA
This person is responsible for improving and developing relationships with builders and contractors throughout the branch territory. This will include the regional and local offices of national builders, regional builders, contractors, and subcontractors. Overall goal is to raise the awareness of the benefits of Simpson products, system solutions, software solutions (CG Visions) and services including training resources. Will work with individuals at all levels in the builders' and contractors' organizations to improve the knowledge of Strong-Tie products and system solutions, to identify new opportunities and to respond to builders' requests.
This individual will implement, monitor, and enhance the Builder Program within the branch territory and beyond. This will include identifying and responding to local builder product knowledge needs. In addition, the job responsibilities include developing and maintaining a database of contacts throughout a builders' organization. Because of the varied responsibilities, strong time management, communication and organizational skills are required.
The Regional Builder Program Manager mentors and trains other field sales reps on becoming a trusted advisor to the industry with emphasis on the builder community. This is accomplished through training ride-along, joint presentations, mentorship, and peer-to-peer accountability.

This is an individual contributor non-supervisory role that is responsible for the accountabilities of a Customer Service Representative. Responsible for documenting account procedures managing multiple builder accounts and assisting with escalated issues. Must be able to handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner. Monitor status of production building progress and change orders. Effectively optimize loads by proper load balancing. Address logistic/carrier issues as they arise and develop resolutions.
Collect purchase order information and prepare accurate contract pricing on orders. Accountable to review all selections and options and ensure purchase order/pricing information is accurate. Request extra purchase orders if needed. Ensure most up to date plans are being ordered and manage orders using a back log list if applicable. Investigate and question no charge replacement orders.
Build relationships and communicate in a positive proactive and professional manner with customers both internal and external. Remove excess weld, defective weld material, slag and spatter, using carbon arc gouge, hand scrapper, grinder or power chipper
Preheat work piece, using hand torch or heating furnace
Cut metal plates or structural shapes
Examine weld for bead size and other specifications.
Load, transport and unloads material, tools, equipment and supplies
Lift, position, and secure materials and work pieces during installation
Perform minor maintenance or cleaning activities of tools and equipment
Assists other mechanics as needed
Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules
Performs other duties as required
May require a high school diploma or its equivalent preferred
Ability to use Gas-Metal Arc, Flux-Cored Arc, Gas-Tungsten Arc, Submerged Arc, or Shielded Metal Arc welding processes
Ability to weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead position
Required to use respiratory protection
Required to pass employer performance tests or standard tests to meet certification standards

SUMMARY: This position requires pulling lumber and other materials to prepare orders for customers or for shipping to one of our locations and sorting and racking lumber according to grade markings and size.
Pull materials from racks, units or other storage areas to prepare for pick up or shipping.
Organize material in a manner to best ensure it arrives safe and undamaged.
Band material to assure safe handling (forklift) and delivery.
Remove lumber from units and place boards in rack, according to grade and length.
Remove defective and/or damaged lumber from racks for cut-back.
Assist customer with loading of lumber.
Maintain good working relationship with customers, fellow employees and management.
Maintain the appearance of the yard and racks in an orderly and clean manner focusing on his area.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Knowledge of lumber grades and uses a plus.
Knowledge of methods of maintaining the racks/stacks.
Qualified to drive forklift a plus.
Sound math skills.
Able to lift up to 90lbs.
