Street Cleaner II
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Performs general maintenance of city right-a-ways and city buildings.
Responsibilities include mowing and trimming of streets, ditches, sidewalks, cleaning and maintenance of buildings. Mowing, cleaning etc. using riding mower, weed eater, trimmer, and other yard tools. Assist in the coordination of projects between Parks Division and other departments.
Empty trash cans. Places filled plastic garbage bags into the back of a City truck for disposal (a walk-up trailer is available to accommodate this task. Bags are then loaded into the dumpster from the back of the truck). Operate various equipment and hand tools on construction and maintenance projects as needed.
May work on construction crew constructing walkways or erecting park equipment and facilities. Able to determine what type of equipment is best required to use on various projects. Assist in citizen complaints and request and assist with resolving the situation.
Will be subject to call out after hours only in emergency situation. Interpret company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
Two to three and one half years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid Texas driver's license and good driving record. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of divisions and departments. Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions. Must be in good physical condition; position requires constant physical labor. (Preferred) High school diploma or GED.
Tank Cleaner II (4041)
Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. has a current opening for an unscheduled part time Tank Cleaner II in Honolulu, HI.
Performs bilge maintenance, pumping, cleaning and preparation for gas free certification of tanks, voids, cofferdams, inaccessible areas, bilges and other compartments located on U.S. Navy vessels. Assist with conducting pumping operations, closing checkpoints, cleaning and setup/breakdown of all equipment associated with Bilge Maintenance and Tank Cleaning operations. Provides various services to the customer in regards to cleanliness, gas free certification and pumping operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Strictly adheres to corporate, federal, state and local safety/OSHA regulations.
Ensures that all Epsilon Systems MRG Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) are worn and that all damaged PPE is discarded.
Ensures that all requirements of the Epsilon Systems MRG Quality Assurance Manual are followed.
Ensures control and assumes responsibility for Level-1 material controls in accordance with Epsilon Systems MRG Instructions.
Follows detailed repair procedures and instructions (e.g.; QA Workbooks, Work packages steps, RECs, CWPs, FWPs, TGIs etc.) required to complete the production operations.
Notifies Specialist or Foreman of any unsatisfactory condition(s) identified during the production operation (i.e.; repair, modification, etc.).
Maintains good housekeeping practices; turns off machines when not in use, disposes of waste properly, sweeps the area, etc.
Performs bilge maintenance cleaning/pumping operations, general pumping operations, tank/void cleaning, general housekeeping, gas free certification preparation and pumping to include but is not limited to bilges, tanks, voids, berms, pier services, various compartments, trunks, offices, spaces, heads, urinals and other containers that may contain fluids that are undesirable to the customer or for retention for the customer's intent to re-use. Fluids to pump include but are not limited to fresh water, potable water, contaminated seawater, compensating seawater, seawater, chill water, oily waste, oil, fuel (JP-5, DFM or equivalent), greywater, blackwater, and neutralized chlorine water.
Performs equipment troubleshooting to diagnose problems and report to the Specialist or Foreman.
Follows and executes work packages, specification items or system alterations (e.g.; TEMPALTs, SHIPALTs, ORDALTs, etc.) IAW the directives (i.e.; instructions, drawings, Technical Manuals, MILSPECs, etc.).
High school diploma/GED.
3-5 years' on-site experience.
Ability to follow basic functions to include hose setups, air connections, tank/void cleaning and bilge cleaning/pumping and tank/void watch to include frack tank/tanker truck watch.
Must be able to climb ladderwells, enter tanks/voids and other confined spaces and take direction from superiors.
Must be tank/void watch and firewatch qualified.
Must be able to traverse multiple classes of U.S. Navy warships to include ladderwells, tight compartments, tanks, voids, bilges and heights exceeding 4'.
Must perform basic to advanced cleaning techniques and knowledge in the confines of his/her duties.
Must be aware and must inform about all safety infractions found or given to them to repair/fix.
Must be able to assess and execute hose runs from pier to the designated pumping area onboard the vessel.
Must be able to prepare all bilges, tanks and voids assigned to them for a successful inspection or closing checkpoint.
Must be familiar with Government checkpoints but are not directly responsible for them
Must be able to prepare a checkpoint for a Level III or Specialist employee to execute and turn over satisfactorily.
- Involves reaching with arms, stretching, crawling, heavy lifting, frequent stooping or bending and possible working assignments in overhead structures, confined spaces or beneath machinery.
