Executes predetermine methods to package product by the press or store as work in process. Performs visual inspections to detect obvious defects. Keep box counts in order to document the quantity of product being produced.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Package products at the press by following predetermine methods to minimize error.
Consistently meets production requirements.
Empty catch totes into gaylord where packaging at the press is not specified.
Perform basic visual inspection of product and report any quality defects to the shift supervisor.
Keep production area clean in order to promote a safe and neat work environment.
Packaging and labeling
Report any and all safety violations to the shift supervisor to ensure the working environment is free from safety hazards.
Engages in the daily operator maintenance program such as basic oiling of machines.
Collects data for Production Boards.
Performs other duties as assigned
Ability to understand and follow all safety procedures including but not limited to PPE, steel toe safety shoes, maintaining safety guards, etc.
Ability to tend to more than one machine at the same time..
Ability to use basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplying, dividing, counting and the use of tape measure.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Up to three months of related experience.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to use the required personal protective equipment at all times including steel toe safety shoes.
Requires ability to walk, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, bend at waist, and climb ladders or equipment.

Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals.

Clearwater Paper Corporation in Shelby NC has exciting career opportunities for experienced machine operators to support paper machine operations. Successful candidates will have a minimum of one (1) year of industrial manufacturing experience with machine operation, High School diploma or GED, and knowledge of mechanical processes. This position will work 12 hour shifts, rotating with 2 days on, 2 nights on and 4 days off. The work week rolls forward each week. This position includes the need to work OT when necessary.

What Your Job Will Be Like
We are seeking a Microelectronic/Semiconductor Technologist to perform technical work in the silicon wafer fabrication and MicroFab facilities. The work will include operational support of the Etch, Lithography, Implant, Diffusion, Defect inspection, CMP, and CVD/Metals areas.
On any given day, you may be called on to:
Perform wafer fabrication activities including wafer measurements, data analyses and data tracking.

Semiconductor Manufacturing Technician - Vacuum Technician
Seeking a motivated, detail-oriented person, with very good manual dexterity and experience in clean room operations. The primary job is supporting cooled wafer manufacturing in the InSb & InGaAs wafer processing fab as a thin film vacuum technician. The job functions include: running and minor maintenance of thin film vacuum deposition equipment, wet and dry chemical etching, inspection of all deposition layers, and data entry onto traveler and in WIP tracking software. Chemical mixing and understanding of safe chemical handling is required. Good manual dexterity is required for all aspects of wafer and die handling. Familiarity with microscope inspection is also required. Full gowning protocol for class 10,00 clean room required.
Performs functions associated with all wafer production operations, including thin film, deposition, etch and inspection. Performs thin film production runs to support cooled wafer and FPA processing. Performs preventative maintenance tasks on wafer fabrication equipment. Works with engineering in conducting tests and experiments.
Running various thin film deposition and etch systems(Denton, BMR, Lesker equipment manufacturers), and plasma ashers.
Maintenance of deposition logsheets and travelers for deposition parameters and results. SPC data entry.
Organizing and maintaining supplies for deposition systems, such as crucibles and deposition materials.
Excellent manual dexterity for wafer handling and die level handling. Wafers and FPAs (die level components) are handled when cleaning the components chemically before and after a deposition, and to mount/demount and load components into tooling required for each deposition system.
Inspection of film quality, using microscopes, and an understanding of visual accept and reject criteria.
Knowledge of chemical mixing and handling.
Full gowning protocol for class 1000 clean room required.
Some familiarity of basic vacuum pump operation and system maintenance is a plus.
Attention to detail is required to ensure proper documentation and maintenance of travelers and when operating semiconductor processing equipment.

The Cambridge Division is one of Pace's longest-running facilities. Founded in 1945, Cambridge has been providing contract manufacturing die casting worldwide for more than 65 years. A 300,000-square-foot facility provides a large environment for expert manufacturing services.
Keep the holding furnaces on the die cast machines full of proper alloy of metal and at proper temperatures. This process, called hauling metal, must be done in a safe, efficient, and timely manner as to keep production running always while minimizing costly mistakes such as overfilling furnaces, overfilling ladles, spilling metal, letting furnaces run too low on metal, mixing alloys, etc. Must safely and efficiently support the production requirements and assure the proper alloy is provided for the parts being cast.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Keep transfer (bull) ladles, furnace, and die cast holdings properly cleaned and/or heated.
Keep scrap hoppers emptied and identified.
Keep alloys separated. This applies to all metal including those stored, in any furnace, or in scrap form.
Keep all areas cleaned including but not limited to melt rooms, work areas, tools/supplies and properly stored. Daily chipping, cleaning, fluxing, and skimming of breakdown furnaces. This also includes Striko Holding Furnaces. (clean, fill funnels, and pouring spouts. Coat as needed).

Properly handle paperwork, sampling, and barcoding of all incoming metal/materials.

Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to read and understand written directives. The predominate forms of instructions are written, visual, and verbal.
Properly handle all department paperwork including labor cards, production sheets, check sheets, metal hauling sheets, barcodes, audit logs, furnace cleaning sheets, scrap cards, flux/dross cards, etc.
