Envelope Machine Adjuster
Cenveo, a world leader in the management and distribution of print and related offerings is seeking an experienced Envelope Machine Adjuster in its Kent, WA facility.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, 2+ years of experience as a machine adjuster working with envelopes and a high degree of mechanical aptitude and previous assembly/production experience.

Under minimal supervision, sets up and adjusts envelope folding machines for safe and efficient operation in the production process. This includes the start-up, operation, adjustment to proper parameters involving close tolerances, maintenance, troubleshooting, and cleaning of the equipment. May provide training and assistance to lesser skilled adjusters and/or operators.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)
These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.
At the start of the shift, inspect all orders processed on machine during the previous shift for correctness of folding, gumming, printing, count and packaging; obtain approval from lead adjuster or supervisor on start-up of new orders.
Make proper size changes and adjustments to all assigned machines in accordance with estimated change times; note any delays on work order.
Continuously monitor all assigned machines and performance of operators to ensure quality and run speed standards are being met.
Provide training and assistance to coworkers, including other adjusters.
Ensure all change parts are cleaned and returned to parts cage or other assigned areas at completion of order.
Return ink, skids, cut blanks, etc. to their assigned areas upon completion of order.
Review condition of all panel cutting dies with lead adjuster or supervisor once they are removed from machines; return dies to parts cage to be returned to inventory or sent out for reconditioning.
Ensure all check sheets, time reports, and other paperwork is filled out correctly and completely.
Relay any special instructions or important information pertaining to machine performance to next shift upon their arrival.
Monitor machine shut downs where applicable to ensure proper wash up of machines at end of shift; ensure work area is clean.
Other (Non-Essential) Functions
Includes functions which are normally performed by persons holding this title. However, these functions may be reassigned to other employees as part of a "Reasonable Accommodation" under the ADA.
May act as machine operator to cover breaks or meal periods.

Work Environment and Physical
Must be able to routinely lift up to 50 pounds.
Performs physical labor for the majority of the daily shift, with long periods of walking or standing essential to the job.
Utilization of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory while working in the manufacturing area, including: hearing protection, OSHA standard safety shoes, and safety glasses.
The noise level varies between a high to moderate level. As part of the Company's hearing conservation program, this position will be required to undergo a standard hearing test upon hire, and annually thereafter.

CLIP is an intensive English language program for immigrant students who have been accepted to CUNY and who need to increase their academic English language proficiency in preparation for college classes. CLIP uses a sustained content-based approach with coursework centered on a theme and core texts. Instruction is designed to increase students' English language skills as they broaden their overall background knowledge in topics that will prepare them for general education courses at CUNY. Classes meet 25 hours a week in day and evening sessions.
CLIP is operated collaboratively by the CUNY Office of Academic Affairs, and nine participating CUNY colleges: Borough of Manhattan Community College, Bronx Community College, College of Staten Island, Hostos Community College, Kingsborough Community College, LaGuardia Community College, New York City College of Technology, Queensborough Community College, and York College. The anticipated vacancy to be filled with this search is located at LaGuardia Community College.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Provide 25 hours of instruction a week in academic reading, writing, listening, and speaking to a class of approximately 25 students.
Integrate instruction in academic reading, writing, listening and speaking with instruction in level-appropriate academic content.

Accept and internally deliver, to all customers’ room address, items delivered by all outside vendors, with the exception of furniture and equipment that is accompanied by an installation team from the vendor. Customers are responsible for meeting the vendor, signing for the material and completing any receiving as required. Commercial vendors or Contractors located within the Customer Compound are responsible for the receiving and handling of their own deliveries.
Stage excess property for pick-up and transport via a weekly US Government truck. Ensure that the proper paperwork is completed and returned to the customer.
Perform minor furniture and safe relocations (defined as less than 8 labor hours) for internal customers located within Customer Compound.
Maintain a supply of standard moving supplies such as boxes, tape and corner protectors required for these relocations.
Support large office moves (defined as greater than 8 labor hours), as resources permit, with at least 72 hours’ notice.
Order and deliver copier paper to individual offices upon request. Appropriate equipment supplies will be delivered to the requesting office. The load dock operation will not be responsible for placing boxes in cabinets or other storage containers within the office area. Material Handler personnel will maintain a bulk copy paper and toner storage area within the building and monitor and order the building paper.
Delivery of safes, furniture and boxes to offsite locations to include, but not limited to USG official's residences and USG offices in commercial buildings, as resources permit.

Pole Loading & JPA Associate
The Pole Loader is responsible for performing complex wind loading measurements using known practice and procedures on approved software, utilizing complex data analysis of field data, pole attributes and visual representation of poles, for the purpose of securing a data read out deliverable to clients.
Essential Job Functions:
Utilizing the data gathered from the field (i.e., size of fiber, strand and down guys), develop the structural loading utilizing the O-Calc software.
Determine pole size, pole class, pole height, span length, and guying requirements and calculate a pass or fail of the pole strength.
Attach the final O-Calc reports including field notes and pictures to the work order packages.
Apply engineering design standards to aerial and underground pole/line cable including: Joint Use Design Make Ready, Pole Replacement, Primary Service, Reliability/Maintenance Design, and Upgrades.
Visually identify and record equipment and structures in the right-of-way.
Analyze and produce cost effective design solutions.
Collaborate with others (project managers, engineers, clients, field technicians and administration) to devise best infrastructure solutions.
Resolve anticipated construction problems through drawings.
