Screen Printing Assistant (Textile Screen Printing)

The following list represents a combination of what this position may be responsible for on a daily basis:
- Ensure the Press Operator has all tools needed for jobs
- Prepare screens for press
- Stage inks and tools for upcoming jobs
- Remove ink from screens and tools
- Reclaim emulsion from screens
- Miscellaneous screen printing tasks could be assigned such as assisting in counting or stacking garments, mixing or modifying inks etc. as production requirements dictate
- General labor duties as needed

Screen Printing Operator – Utica, NY
Organize, set up and operate the screen printing equipment to ensure that all operations are run efficiently and that production schedules are being met.
Continuously monitor all raw materials and work in process to guarantee its efficiency and to minimize waste and inform Team Leader – Screen Printing when materials need to be ordered.
Maintain industrial standards of quality control for all items being produced and/or shipped.
Perform the general maintenance to all screen printing equipment to ensure the proper operation of tools and equipment.
Assist with the inspection process.
Take an active part in all physical inventories.
Assist in other areas of Human Technologies’ operation as needed to include embroidery, shipping and receiving, material handling, etc.
Actively participate in corporate safety by creating a safe working environment and practicing and training workers in safe and proper work habits and equipment use.
Maintain positive safety standards consistent with published safety regulations, directives and commonly accepted safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader, Screen Printing Department.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Five (5) years experience in the screen printing industry.
A combination of education and work experience that is substantially equivalent to the above.
Able to lift in excess of 50 pounds.

Screen Printing Technician
Our client is looking for a Screen Printing Operator for their facility. This is a part-time position with possible weekends depending on production schedules.
There is potential for this position to become full-time.This position would be responsible for operating all production equipment; screen printing, direct-to-garment, heat press as well as organization of inventory, folding and packaging, creating screens from film negatives etc. Other duties may include:Fully set up multiple color screen printing jobs.Prepare and mix required ink to be used in production.Read and complete job orders accurately.Transferring finished clothing from the screen printing machine to conveyor dryer.Perform regular maintenance of silk screen printing press.Digitalization of artwork from clients for separation and/or embroidery

Responsible for setting up and operating an Automatic Cylinder Screen Printing Press or Semi-Automatic Flatbed Screen Printing Press or Clamshell Screen Printing Press or Automatic Screen Printing Roll Press according to written and/or verbal instructions, established company procedures, safety, and quality guidelines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Retrieves production order and job assignments for next job according to posted list or lead direction.
- Logs into job setup and printing on computer.
- Reads and understands order to verify quantity to be run, overrun tolerance, color sequence, and substrate.
- Obtains substrate, screen, ink, squeegee, and related supplies needed to produce job.
- Sets up press according to established company guidelines, safety, and job requirements.
- Prints proof sheets to check press setup, registration, ink viscosity and color.
- Secures second approval for production run.
- Sets dryer for proper drying or curing and confirming cure with appropriate test.
- Prints job maintaining optimum production speed and makes press adjustments to maintain print quality, registration, and color.
- Solves printing problems.
- Prints line and halftone copy on a variety of substrates.
- Completes production run including overruns and production samples.
- Completes signoffs on job ticket and logs out of job setup and printing on computer.
- Ensures proper cleanliness of press, work station, and immediate press area by returning unused ink to ink area, removing trash, rags, and extra press sheets.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Carries out conduct and leadership responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures, safety, and applicable laws.
