The Direct Support Professional Team Lead position is responsible to perform supervised tasks related to delivery of health and personal cares, therapeutic, educational, behavioral, recreational, and leisure activities for the children/young adults at ACC, contributing to the overall ISP/IEP, positive behavior support plan, and nursing care plan. This position will also assume the responsibility to train new staff to care for the clients following ACC guidelines, client specific plans and teaching strategies.
The Employment Coach will oversee the training of the client and provide supports during the employment activities. This position assumes the authority, responsibility, and accountability for carrying out their individual employment plans.
Working under the direction of the Employment Services Program Coordinator, this position will ensure that all the supports necessary for the client (transportation, support at home, attire, AT, etc.) are in place. The Employment Coach facilitates the development of natural supports in each work environment and when appropriate trains individuals in the use of AT.
H.S. Diploma or equivalent
Minimum two years' experience in health care field, preferably working with those with disabilities
Preferred/Required Skills and Abilities:
Ability to learn and perform personal cares, education and therapeutic programs, and can learn and comprehend medical terminology.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing; can follow verbal and written instructions, and problem solve effectively with clients, staff, family members, and community businesses.
Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, being tactful, courteous, and diplomatic with internal and external contacts.
Ability to adapt to rapid change, and must be able to intervene promptly in crisis/emergency situations.
Understand and have a basic working knowledge of a computer or be willing to learn, as well as communication devices and other assistive technology.

Part-Time Tennis Professional / Coach
Glenwild Golf Club and Spa is looking to hire a fun and energetic part-time Tennis Coach for the summer season (Memorial Day to Labor Day), to teach private lessons and group clinics on weekdays and weekends to our Membership.
Qualified applicants will be able to demonstrate the fundamentals of group teaching, lesson plan making, feeding and court organization. The Direct Support Professional ("DSP") is at the forefront of these services. Responsibilities include assisting individuals with:
Activities of daily living (meal preparation, household chores, hygiene and grooming, shopping and running errands, etc.)
Health maintenance (medication administration, seeking medical care, following health routines as prescribed, etc.)
Building positive life skills (effective communication, self-awareness, coping, etc.), and
Accessing community resources (libraries, museums, places of worship, Special Olympics, etc.)

The Professional Development Coach builds and maintains relationships with childcare professionals, provides mentoring and resources to help providers integrate new information into childcare practice, facilitates the development of an individualized professional development plan, and connects providers to professional growth opportunities.

Recruit and enroll child care and kinship providers into Early Educator Workforce programs
Coach and mentor providers to develop and implement quality improvement strategies in classrooms and family child care homes.
Support providers to increase their knowledge, skills, and education in the field of early education and practices

Utilize instructional tools relevant to program mandates (e.g., ECE Competencies, CLASS, ERS, and DRDP)

Model developmentally appropriate practices and serve as a resource for participants on child development, quality child care, and professional development

Record and submit written monthly reports, data collection, reports or other administrative forms in a timely manner

Requirements to be successful in this job:
BA preferred or equivalent college semester units in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or related field or any combination of education and experience which would enable the candidate to successfully perform the functions of the position
Minimum of 3 years of experience in child development and infant and toddler care and education
Strong knowledge and understanding of Child Development & Developmentally Appropriate Practices
Experience working with children and families
Experience facilitating groups independently and/or co-facilitating groups
