Job Summary The Yard Control Supervisor is responsible for assisting and reviewing UPS Small Package dispatch activity to ensure timely and proficient service. He/she assists with dispatch planning and is responsible for ensuring that service, safety, and cost goals are met. Requirements The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of plant facilities and equipment
. The Maintenance Supervisor manages the implementation of the plant's Maintenance Program for the mechanical equipment and identifies those items which need improvement or additional work to support reliable operation of the plant. The Maintenance Supervisor works with the plant operating staff to assure plant facilities and equipment are maintained in a safe and efficient operating condition at all times.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS Oversee the activities of mechanical maintenance personnel in performing maintenance and repair activities in support of reliable plant operation. Implement the plant's appropriate preventive and predictive maintenance program, including equipment failure records, and provide trend information to the Maintenance Manager. Provide task lists and schedules for plant maintenance and contractor personnel for normal operating periods, planned outage periods, and forced outage situations.
Maintain the plant's Maintenance Manual, with inputs from the I&C; Supervisor, and assure that vendor maintenance and repair manuals are properly filed and kept up-to-date. When necessary, take disciplinary action to maintain a safe and efficient workplace. Ensure continuity of project maintenance through the training and development of maintenance personnel capable for future advancement.
Motivate, direct and supervise subordinate union personnel to effectively and efficiently accomplish their assigned duties. Become thoroughly familiar with Local 30 and Local 3 Collective Bargaining Agreements. Ensure proper, efficient and safe maintenance of the project equipment by establishing, implementing and maintaining maintenance procedures.
Ensure compliance with all environmental regulatory requirements when performing plant related maintenance tasks. Sustain the morale and motivation of mechanical maintenance personnel and handle employee grievances as they arise. Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for all maintenance work orders and ensure maintenance conforms to all work procedures and safe work permit requirements for all maintenance performed.
Assist with the preparation and maintenance of the budget for area of responsibility. Oversee procurement and maintenance of spare parts and materials utilizing the CMMS system to maintain spare parts support for plant operations. Assist with the location, screening and hiring of maintenance personnel.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS Physical requirements include the possibility of standing on feet for extended periods, requiring stair and ladder climbing and routinely lifting up to 50 pounds. Protective equipment must be worn in the performance of some duties (e.g. hard hats, safety glasses, air masks, ear protection, chemical suits, hot gloves and high voltage protective equipment, etc.). Work with hazardous materials may be required.
Position requires extended working hours and varied shifts with the possibility of weekend and holiday work, as required by schedules, work load and plant conditions. "On call" status will periodically be required. All employees will participate in the Fitness for Duty Program. This program includes a post-offer physical examination and drug screening and post-employment random drug screening.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking a candidate who has extensive power plant maintenance and leadership experience with a work history that demonstrates a pattern of accomplishments and advancement. Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or equivalent desired.
Strong mechanical maintenance background, strong rotating equipment experience and an ability to use personal computer based preventive and predictive maintenance tools desired. Experience supervising hourly personnel; strong leadership and motivational skills required. Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS); plant uses MP2. Supervises, coordinates and directs overall activities of staff responsible for plant operations at a coal-fired power plant, including Fossil Control Room Operators, Plant Operators and other shift personnel essential to power plant operations.
