Coat Line Operator

Our Production Department is seeking to add a talented Coat Line Operator to our facility in Ashville, Ohio. The purpose of this role is to safely, efficiently and effectively contribute to the overall operating process and provide quality product to our customers. The Ashville Plant’s manufacturing processes include continuous coil coating paint lines and metal slitting operations. Applicants assigned to the Material Handler position in the Production Department will perform job duties providing material handling support for the coil coating lines and slitting operations.

Notify appropriate personnel of irregularities in operating equipment or materials; maintain clean and orderly conditions in work area.

Operating a variety of mobile equipment including, but not limited to; forklift and overhead crane.
Performs various job duties to operate a continuous coil coating line to paint aluminum coils
Follows production schedules to paint coils based on customer requirements
Conducts testing on paint and painted coil
Loading and unloading of aluminum coils with overhead cranes and forklifts.
Entering production data into computers.

Job summary- This position performs the function of programming, maintenance, and operation of both the through hole (Universal Sequencer and VCD), and conformal coat assembly equipment.
Provide training and direction to department employees as needed. Summary of essential job functions. Program Universal sequencer and VCD for all NPI and ECO’s per Engineering’s request.
Operate and maintain all Universal equipment while performing quality inspections at each stage to ensure product is built per customer specifications and industry standards. Communicate with Quality, Engineering, and/or Customers to identify and resolve assembly issues. Perform light and routine maintenance tasks.
Setup and document customer’s conformal coating process per assembly. Coat PCB’s by hand, spray, or dip process, while performing quality inspections at each stage to ensure product is built per customer specifications and industry standards.
Minimum requirements- A high school education or equivalent along with at least 5 year of relevant experience.
Successful completion of ESD Safety training and IPC-A-610 certification. Must exhibit knowledge and/or skill in operating equipment and hand tools used in the area. Ability to serve in a lead role providing training and direction as needed.

Some on the duties Include: - Surfacing Blocker: o Utilize the blocking machine to accurately secure a block to all lenses going through the surfacing department. o Operate taping equipment to apply protective tape to the front of the lenses. 20% o Generator Operator:
Operate the generator machine used to cut the lenses to the correct prescription. 20% o Surface Finer/Polisher: Operate the equipment used to fine and polish all lenses going through the surfacing department. 20% o Tool Puller: Numerically locate the correct tools for polishing and fining and place them in the appropriate tray.
Return tools to rack once complete. 15% o Lens Washer: Hand wash and dry lenses followed by a brief cosmetic inspection of the lenses. Grasp lens with deblocking cup and strike against table to remove block from lenses.

This person will be responsible for the set up and monitoring of the Coating Machines. The Main responsibility is to prepare the coating system, load, unload the chamber, change the magnetic systems and input process parameters in the operator screen. This Individual will pre-treat a variety of customer products using standardized methods to prepare products for coating. Person will use analytical thinking and a high-degree of creativity to oversee and assemble chamber loads based on customer specifications. As part of his/her regular responsibilities, this person will make critical processing decisions, to initiate the coating process as well as be responsible for disassembling and reconfiguring the chamber for subsequent loads.
