Machine Operator I - Conformal Coat - 1St Shift
The Machine Operator position is responsible for operating and troubleshooting a PVA machine and applying silicone coating to printed circuit boards per our process and routing. In addition, the machine operator is responsible for inspecting boards to ensure compliance with IPC standards.
Step-up, operate, and inspect specific machinery in the area.
Assist with preventative maintenance and repair of specific machinery in the area.
Inspect work product for conformance to CPI and IPC-610 standards.
Count number of boards that the machine has completed and compare to MO amount.
Perform touch up or rework to bring product into compliance.
Safely operate equipment in such a way as to comply with equipment manufacture specifications and recommendations for the specific machinery in the area.
Proper handling of chemicals as required per specific machinery in the area: (reference SDS book).
1st Shift regular work schedule: 5:00am-3:30pm Monday - Thursday.
Overtime is required for this position including Fridays.

Under close supervision, loads and unloads product on the paint line. Operates paint guns, assembles packaging, and packages finished product to specifications. Operation is routine and repetitive. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for all activities associated with running a Flexo or Rotary Die Cutter including: setup, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations.
Sets up and runs the Load Former, feeding the machine
Reviews job tickets, print cards, and quality inspection paperwork with machine Captain
Sets up and operates the pre-feeder.
Reads job order and mounts specified rubber print plate and printing dies on cylinder.
Installs cylinder on shaft, and secures assembly in bed of press.
Fills dye fonts with prescribed inks or dyes.
Moves levers to engage dye rolls, adjusting position of cylinder to print two or more colors without overlapping or smearing previously printed area.
Starts press, adjusting speed, tension, and alignment of printing plate as necessary.
Cuts sample of printed material from end of printed roll and inspects for imperfections, such as blurred or off-center impressions.
Cleans rubber plate, cylinder, and dye fonts, using solvent, and lubricates press as needed, using grease gun.
May mix inks or dyes to produce desired colors.
Sets up rails, print, and die cut section on machinery accurately in accordance with proper setup techniques.
Inspects all dies before and after run to ensure that any necessary repairs are made before the next run.
Ensures all bolts for cutting dies are in place and tightly secured.
Monitor box quality, including, but not limited to, loose liner, warp, correct size, and print.
Checks anilox rolls for damage.
Maximizes the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
Cross trains and assist Helpers, Stackers, and Bundlers with job duties on the machine.
Cross-train on other machines.
Completes necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner, including but not limited to: Production Data,
Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality Data. Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs.
Must be proactive in the maintenance of equipment.
Switches duties with stacker as necessary.
Complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
Adheres to production schedule. Makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals.
Reports any issues to Supervisor.

Under general supervision, performs a variety of routine metal fabrication related duties in support of the parts production process.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working from drawings, route sheets, charts, blueprints and factory work orders incumbent will setup and operate all functions of assigned machines & equipment with minimum assistance. Incumbent will select the appropriate bits, wheels, machine speeds, punches and dye tolerances and feed rates.
Will sets dyes, locating devices, stops, clamps, guides, and guards for the safe and efficient operation of the machines & equipment. Will adjust machine settings for various material thicknesses, temper, clamp placements and work order requirements.
Responsible for inspecting own parts as well as those of others using tools such as tape measures, scales, calipers and possibly various computerized measuring devices.
Must be able to read and complete production orders, QA and manufacturing documentation as required.
Performs secondary operations, such as cleaning and debarring, to manufactured parts as required.
Operates overhead hoists and forklifts to move material and necessary equipment to perform machine operations. Will arrange parts as needed for production and deliver raw stock, partially completed work, and completed jobs to appropriate storage or production areas.
Records machinery operation variances from normal settings and results. Completes basic preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment. Performs visual safety checks for machine wear, damage to tooling and correct positioning of safety guards.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

Packaging Machine Operator Intern
Packaging Room Intern is a developmental position, designed to complement a two year degree in areas such as electrical or mechanical engineering, maintenance, manufacturing, mechanical, or related fields, by incorporating critical hands on experience as a machine operator into the education and applied training for classroom concepts and technical competencies. This program provides training and job experience for students with demonstrated classroom success, and will include both classroom and floor training. The first phase of the program will focus on understanding the manufacturing environment and supporting a Packaging Machine Operator (PMO) in daily job responsibilities. Summary of Job Responsibilities
The Packaging Room Intern with Frito-Lay is required to perform the following essential functions during the course of a normal workday:
