View is seeking experienced Machine Operators for employment in its first high-volume manufacturing facility in Olive Branch, MS. The facility produces revolutionary, electrochromic, insulated glass units for installation in commercial and residential windows. The positions will be assigned shift-work. Only candidates who are flexible to work multiple/various assigned shifts should apply. The Machine Operator is responsible for producing quality electrochromic, insulated glass units by operating, monitoring and adjusting glass processing equipment, including glass handling, cutting, grinding, tempering, cleaning, coating, scribing and packaging machines. This is a rare opportunity to excel within a Silicon Valley start-up company. These positions will be eligible for stock options. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Transferring optimal glass processing methods from Milpitas, CA pilot line facility to Olive Branch, MS high volume manufacturing plant;
Maintaining production line operations by operating equipment, solving production process problems, making equipment adjustments, reporting production and quality data and referring unresolved issues to the supervisor;
Achieving or surpassing established production standards;
Preparing glass processing equipment by making setup adjustments and assisting with changeovers;
Documenting glass production processes by completing logs, calculating statistics, and noting the receipt, flow and return of materials;
Maintaining quality standards by conducting first-piece and line-clearance inspections;
Preparing trainees for production responsibilities by demonstrating operating procedures;
Observing safety rules at all times and reporting unsafe acts and conditions to supervisor;
Keeping work areas clean, orderly and free of obstruction;
Inspecting equipment parts to assure conformance to specifications;
Servicing equipment as required (i.e. adding grease, lubricant, coolant, etc.)
Completing production, productivity, inspection, downtime and safety reports;
MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer) and basic computer skills;
Performing additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors and managers.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills and abilities:
2+ years of production operations experience;
Be a highly-motivated, team-player with a positive attitude who is also excited about learning new skills and assisting with various projects and assignments as necessary;
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance;
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective production of goods;
Ability to physically push, pull and lift heavy loads up to 12 hours a day;
Ability to read gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure proper machine operation;
Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills;

Working knowledge and understanding of, MSDS, lock-out/tag-out, and OSHA requirements;

What You'll be Responsible For in this Role
- In this role operate designated machines and equipment to convert corrugated board into corrugated cartons or inner packaging within specifications of the customer orders.
Safety and Health of self and team working in the assigned area.
Participation in all Safety Activities.
Safety Inspection of the Machine and equipment; machine lock out tag out.
Support and maintain ISO 9001 activities and ensure that required processes are maintained.

Coordinates with assigned team and forklift operators to obtain all material requirements per the specifications, i.e.... cutting dies, print plates, ink and corrugated sheets, etc...
Monitors control panel on machine; observes machine operation to detect defects or machine malfunction.
Report quality, productivity, downtime and waste daily in the company's business system.
Completes Quality Checklist provided by the company timely and accurately at each process point for each production order
Trains, communicates and assists team assigned on the processes such as stacking, feeding, etc...
Performs cleanup of the machine and minor machine maintenance.
Keep area organized, clean and free from any hazardous conditions.
Implementation of ISO 9001 activities and ensure that required processes are maintained.

A Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of machines that are used for the manufacture of finished goods. The machines operate at rates ranging from 100 units per minute to 250 units per minute.

Participate in house keeping activities that are indicative of a safe and clutter free work environment
Must be able to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English
Must have the legal right to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship now or in the future for employment visa status
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have access to reliable transportation
Must be able to work overtime with or without reasonable accommodation
Able to pull, carry or lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 50-100 occasionally with or without reasonable accommodation
The successful candidate must also pass a pre-employment background check, physical and drug screen.
One year of experience working with machinery in a manufacturing environment
Experience watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
Experience operating packaging equipment such as robotics, filling machines, case packers, labelers, etc.
