Coil Winder - Machine Operator 3Rd Shift
Eaton Power Systems, Electrical Sector- Americas has an openingfor a Coil Winder on 3rd Shift (11pm-7am) at the North Street facility inWaukesha, WI.
Set-up and operate winding machine to produce coils, ofvarious size, to specifications called for on winding sheet, winding diagramand order pouch. Coil conductor configurations include strip, round wire andrectangular wire in various combinations.
Readand interpret winding specification documents to determine characteristicsrequired for specific coil to be wound. Determine coil number, quantity andrevision. Record coil number on coil and on labor recording paperwork.
Determineand install appropriate mandrel device on machine. Adjust mandrel, end platesand/or tail-stock as required by window size specification.
Loadstrip, conductor and insulating paper to dereeling mechanisms on machine.Measure materials, make adjustments to machine to accommodate material andverify proper alignment.
Placescoil form on mandrel, wraps form/mandrel with paper, positions leads and tapesto coil form / mandrel.
Applypack out as needed per specification. Repeats for each section.
Folds,insulates and tapes weld pre-cut leads to strip stock of coil body. Winds majorinsulations, and applies varnish with hand applicator. Operates crimp tool tocrimp wire to static shield.
Operatesmachine regulating winding speed with foot control, aligning aluminum or copperstrip to center of insulating paper strip and both to center of coil form andadjusts tensioning devices as required.
Insertsoil rib ducts and other special insulating paper at specified places in coil.Weld aluminum and copper leads as required.
Verifyproper secondary coil.
Makeadjustments to machine (flattener, traverse and material tensions) to yielddesired finished coil dimensions as specified.
Operateswalkies and hoist equipment
Determineadhesive locations per reference specifications and apply liquid adhesive withhand applicator at specified locations throughout the coil.
Insertcooling ducts, special insulation and component parts at specified locationsthroughout the coil
Windcoil sections per winding instructions to specified number of turns.
Braze,or bend taps and leads into coil at specified locations throughout the coil.
Positionand insulate leads per winding sheet and diagram(s).
Splicematerial per specifications as required.
Removecoil from mandrel device by hoist and put aside to pallet.
Performsdaily 6S clean up.
Ahigh school diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accreditedinstitution is required.
Minimumof 1 year of manufacturing experience or military technical training
Theability to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without companysponsorship is required.
Norelocation is being offered for this position. Candidates must reside withinthe 50 miles of Waukesha, WI in order to be considered.

Summary of Position
This position is responsible for the operations of a flexographic printing press Rewinder. Qualifications and Skills

Rewind Operator (37791)
Operate offline and auxiliary binding/finishing/packaging equipment, primarily a rewinder. Set up and adjusts machine and equipment for production runs.
Clean, lubricate and maintain machine to ensure its optimum operation. May troubleshoot issues and submit requests for maintenance as needed. May coordinate the assignment of crewmembers and may provide training for new team members.
Requires knowledge of standard set ups, adjustments and operating characteristics of the equipment and skill to perform standard adjustments and operate the equipment. Ability to set up, operate, and perform basic adjustments to the equipment according to the individual job requirements, operating characteristics, and capabilities of the equipment. Typically, the adjustments performed at this level are routine and the need for such adjustments are readily apparent.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Education, GED or equivalent. ·Candidates with knowledge of press techniques used in printing to produce finished printed materials will be given preference.

Coil Prep Operator
Operates and controls process of coil through process chamber. Sizes medium and large power windings for assembly to core and assist in training of new employees to area.
Receive assignments and instructions from supervisor--both verbal and written.
May assist with upending. Load and unload upender.
Installs end assemblies and align radial spacers.
Press windings as per specs.
Prepare windings for process chamber.
Process windings through process chamber.
Size windings as per specs.
Make minor winding repairs as directed.
Perform other work as required.
Keep tools, equipment and work area neat and orderly.
Perform minor repairs and machine maintenance, preventative maintenance for critical process chamber controls and pumps.
Inspect and transport completed coils for coil and core department.

Position Overview: Drives assigned equipment to and from customer sites to haul various types of fluids, materials, or equipment. Assigned equipment could include: vacuum truck, fluid hauler, acid truck, winch truck, sand or gravel truck. This is a safety sensitive position.
