Coil Winder - 2Nd Shift
Coil Winder reports to the manufacturing supervisor and is responsible for operating basic machines and deburring, or light assembly, in an industrial setting. The position works under close supervision, limited decision-making and limited contact with external suppliers or customers.
Communicates information to others about project status, updates, specific instructions, etc. and reviews item status in MRP and ensures item is logged/closed out based on its current status.
Documents non-conformance and dispositions using non-conformance forms.
Cleans and maintains measuring instruments and test equipment; treats and inspects/tests parts (e.g., routed and deburring operations) per applicable work instructions.
Follows all departmental safety rules and regulations and puts on all appropriate safety gear, and clothing/protection required by work activities.
Completes and reviews product paperwork, verifying all paperwork is present and filled out appropriately and complete computer entries accurately and in a timely manner.
Clean and organize the immediate work area.
Interpret and follow blueprints for proper production task completion.
May be required to obtain certification as necessary per function requirements.
May perform tasks related to NDT, machinist, and mechanical assembler positions.
Perform limited preventative maintenance to ensure machines and equipment run smoothly and notify supervisors of production or machine problems.
Verify the calibration of equipment and expiration dates.
Promote teamwork within the organization.

Electric Motor Winder
Inspect various kinds of electro-mechanical equipment for damage and evidence of electrical malfunctions.
Test condition of windings according to EASA Standards.
Illustrate and/or document all relevant data specific to unit's electro-magnetic characteristics, operating conditions, existing damage or intended serviceability.
Dismantle and/or strip damaged or unserviceable electro-mechanical equipment.
Prepare all reusable parts for rewinding and inspect renewed parts for hidden, structural damage or unusual conditions.
Rewind various kinds of electro-mechanical equipment, including but not limited to: single phase, three-phase, dc fields, armatures, wound rotors and transformers. Observe proper insulating techniques and/or requirements during rewinding.
Test rewound electro-mechanical equipment according to EASA Standards and document test results.
Complete required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis.
Operate specialized repair and testing equipment, including but not limited to: winding machines, test panels, surge testers, core-loss testers, cut-off saws, burnout ovens, back ovens, grinders, cranes, forklift trucks, brazing units, dip tanks, VPI systems and various hand-held power and non-power tools.
Observe all safety procedures and policies and use proper protective equipment (especially eye, ear protection and steel toe shoes/boots, gloves, etc.)
Keep work area clean and organized.
Report all injuries, near misses and accidents immediately to a supervisor.
All other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is desired.
Certification from a Technical school helpful.
Mechanical aptitude required.
Prior experience working as a Winder desired.

Compare the Specification Sheet with the labels at the beginning of each shift and at each product changeover to ensure that all specs are being followed exactly as described on the spec sheet.
Verify that each tube of yarn produced from the winder is compliant with the Specifications Sheet.
Load empty tubes into the Winder, ensuring that the magazine is filled with good quality paper tubes.
Separate and straighten yarn bundle into the thread path from the Accumulator to the Winder
With the air splice tool, join any broken ends, but if the air splice tool hose does not reach, tie a weavers knot with no tail, being sure to restart the machine as quickly as possible
Monitor the thread path for crossed yarns, stopping the winder to correct and assure run ability
Ensure the removal of all stretched or defective yarn from the packages before restarting the winder to avoid streaking the carpet in tufting.
Stack the finished packages as configured on the Specifications Sheet.
Maintain and use tools of the job properly:
Scissors and holster
Snips and/or ring knife
Winder thread comb
Standing more than 90% of shift, moving up and down stairs and throughout the creel area.
Must be able to crouch down and stand to reach posts and tubes of creel rack ranging from 1' to 6.5' high.
Must be able to manually lift and control packages of yarn that weight up to 12 pounds.
Must be able to push a cart loaded with yarn through the creel with a maximum weight of 450 pounds.

Vishay Dale Electronics in Columbus, NE is currently seeking a Manual Winder responsible for operating a winding machine.
Receives capped ceramic sub-assemblies, wire, and production orders from Material Handler.
Turns on machines and computers.
Places correct wire on spindle and thread through machine.
Enters correct winding parameters and order information into the computer (includes wire width, value, tolerance and thickness) and ohms per foot of the wire.
Loads trays/reels of capped ceramic sub-assemblies into each.
Works with various winding machines, winding different part types and sizes and various wire sizes.
Inspects parts on a random basis.
Monitors machines for failures and makes proper adjustments.
Unloads trays of wound parts.
Re-trays parts when necessary.
Completes necessary paperwork.
High School Diploma or Equivalent. Requires the use of judgment in the analysis of facts and circumstances surrounding individual processes or operations and in the determination of actions to be taken within the limits of standard or accepted practices. Role Summary:This role within Magnetic Resonance Imaging understands the function and design of RF circuits,electronics,antennas and their application in the design of high power Body Transmit/Receive coil and low power receive only coils. (S)he is experienced in the implementation of RF designs to optimize cost,manufacturability,reliability and serviceability of the final product. Eaton's Power Systems division has an internal opening for a 2nd Shift Coil Winder. This position is based at our North Street Facility in Waukesha, WI.
The Coil Winder will set-up and operate winding machines to produce coils of various size to specifications called for on winding sheets, winding diagrams, and order pouches. Coil conductor configurations include strip, round, and rectangular wire, in various combinations.

You will read and interpret winding specification documents to find characteristics required for specific coil to be wound.
You will find the coil number, quantity, and revision, and also record the coil number on the coil and on labor recording paperwork.
You will install and adjust appropriate devices as needed onto the coil winding machine in order to meet window sizing specifications.
You will load strip, conductor, and insulating paper to dereeling mechanisms on the machine.
You will measure materials, make adjustments to the machine to accommodate materials, and verify proper alignment.
You will place and adjust the coil form as specified.
You will apply pack out as needed per specification, repeated on each section of the coil.
You will fold, insulate, and tape-weld pre-cut leads to strip stock of coil body.
You will operate a crimping tool to crimp wire to static shielding.
