Operator - Petroleum Coke
The Petroleum Coke Operator is responsible for safely performing the basic tasks required to move petroleum coke at the Delayed Coker Unit (DCU) in the Motiva Port Arthur Refinery.
Follow proper safety rules and operating procedures to support zero tolerance safety objectives.
Load / Unload and move railcars
Load coke into barges by operating barge haul system and associated bulk material handling equipment
Operate Rail King, co-ordinate & perform unit rail switching activities
Operate conveyor, crusher, silo & loading chute
Operate drum-un-heading equipment with assistance from certified unheader
Train and Learn to Operate the Coke Cutting Equipment
Train and Learn to Operate the DCU Bridge Crane
Complete and maintain required daily paperwork
Perform general cleanup of entire DCU and Load Out Shed including, but not limited to, keeping the ground clear of spilled coke and washing down equipment.
Housekeeping duties, including keeping offices, restrooms, break rooms and work rooms clean and tidy
Assist Maintenance personnel, as needed
Experience in rail switching and some knowledge of handling systems (Conveyors and Feeders) + 1 year refinery, plant or industrial experience
Be able to read, write and understand English and follow written and/or verbal instructions
Environmental & Safety awareness
Cooperates and works well with others in either one-on-one or group situations
Contributes actively to team objectives, takes on responsibilities and is responsible for actions
Must be able to work a rotating (days/nights)12-hour shift to include weekends, holidays and overtime as necessary (Hands On) Education/Experience:

OVERVIEW The Club Coke Account Manager’s focus will be driving sales and facilitating growth in the top Small Store Convenience Retail independents and small chains within their area of responsibility. The primary objective is to utilize the skills of relationship management, sells and execution, and analytical/price package management to drive profitability in volume and market share in the Convenience Retail Channels. The Coke Handling Operator is responsible for providing support for operations by maintaining and operating equipment and processes at our Midstream bulk handling facility in Sulphur, LA. The role will participate as an integral team member and will be a key contributor to the organization from a support capacity.
Responsibilities may include :
Monitoring controls for Coke Conveyor delivery and receipts.
Performing routine washing of coke spillage when not in the primary operation rotation.
Performing environmental and regulatory checks (eliminating, containing and reporting all product seeps and spills).
Monitoring and enforcing all safety rules and regulations.
Ensuring quality and quantity of refined products and/or crude oils.
Identifying and resolving scheduling conflicts in a timely manner.
Completing daily, weekly, monthly and annual inventory reconciliation including; agency and other required reports.
Staying abreast of changes in operation requirements, policies and processes.
Performing operational duties in accordance with the Operating and Procedures and Site Specific Procedures.
