Savage Services Corporation, an established materials management company, is seeking a Petroleum Coke Operator who will be responsible for safely performing the basic tasks required to move petroleum coke at a Delayed Coker Unit in Cheyenne, WY. Including but not limited to the following:
Follow proper safety rules and operating procedures to support zero tolerance safety objectives
Load and move railcars
Operate railcar mover and coordinate/perform rail switching activities
Operate and maintain conveyor and crusher
Operate drum-unheading equipment with assistance from certified unheader
Train and Learn to Operate the Coke Cutting Equipment
Operate the 950 & 966 Loaders
Complete and maintain required daily paperwork
Perform general cleanup of entire DCU and Load Out including, but not limited to, keeping the ground clear of spilled coke and washing down equipment
Housekeeping duties, including keeping offices, restrooms, break rooms and work rooms clean and tidy
Perform basic maintenance duties
Physically able to handle large tools, climb on and off the equipment, ascend and descend ladders, and should not have a fear of heights
Prefer experience in rail switching or knowledge of handling systems (Conveyors and Feeders) + 1 year refinery, plant or industrial experience
Be able to read, write and understand English and follow written and/or verbal instructions
Environmental & Safety awareness
Cooperates and works well with others in either one-on-one or group situations
Contributes actively to team objectives, takes on responsibilities and is responsible for actions

The Coke Handling Operator is responsible for providing support for operations by maintaining and operating equipment and processes at our Midstream bulk handling facility in Sulphur, LA. The role will participate as an integral team member and will be a key contributor to the organization from a support capacity.
Responsibilities may include :
Monitoring controls for Coke Conveyor delivery and receipts.
Performing routine washing of coke spillage when not in the primary operation rotation.
Performing environmental and regulatory checks (eliminating, containing and reporting all product seeps and spills).
Monitoring and enforcing all safety rules and regulations.
Ensuring quality and quantity of refined products and/or crude oils.
Identifying and resolving scheduling conflicts in a timely manner.
Completing daily, weekly, monthly and annual inventory reconciliation including; agency and other required reports.
Staying abreast of changes in operation requirements, policies and processes.
Performing operational duties in accordance with the Operating and Procedures and Site Specific Procedures.
Responding to emergencies, maintaining emergency equipment and participating in emergency response training and exercises.
Completing mandated safety and regulatory training (computer-based & instructor led training).
Monitoring controls and establishing valve line-ups for pipeline delivery and receipts.
Maintaining effective and professional relationships with customers and responding promptly to their needs.
Performing environmental and regulatory checks (eliminating, containing and reporting all product seeps and spills).
Performing security and equipment facility rounds; minimizing downtime and unsafe conditions.
Assisting with transport driver and new employee training.
