Perform all job duties in a safe manner applying basic safety principles learned during the new hire orientation, review of job safety analysis for the job held, and monthly safety meetings. -Apply and understand the Mill quality policy as it relates to job assigned.
Put coil on mandrel.
Align coil ID with Mandrel.
Check gauges stings.
Line up edge guide.
Wear PPE, and secure both ends of banding.
Put coil tail on bottom from thread table.
Use only one person to thread mill and watch for pinch points and moving objects.
Putting sheet into mandrel with belt wrapper.
Taping/Banding Pup coils.
- Minimum education of either High School Diploma or GED. Two to three years work experience in heavy industrial setting.

Assistant Cold Mill Manager
Responsibilities and Duties
Sets and measures performance metrics and process parameter KPI's.
Ensures quality, continuity and efficiency of rolling mills, and coil handling equipment as well as all the auxiliary equipment.
Performs root cause analysis of issues and lead development and implementation of corrective actions to improve safety, equipment productivity, stability, quality and overall reliability.
Provide technical support as required by applying engineering principles and problem solving and troubleshooting techniques to analyze rolling mill performance.
Champion continuous improvement projects and drive employee engagement and suggestions at all levels of the organization.
Coach, develop and motivate rolling crews.
Train, monitor and mentor shift supervisors in rolling mill processes and technical theory and operation.
Coordinate with other resources to drive mill improvement.
Conduct analysis and make recommendations on major maintenance and capital projects necessary to improve and stabilize mill performance and compliance.
Coordinate with downstream customers.
Coordinate with Maintenance and production planning to schedule and plans outages to minimize upsets and maximize yield, stability and reliability.
Support the Jupiter Aluminum safety program to ensure a safe work environment including proper housekeeping for all operating management and represented personnel.
Approves and coordinates vendor technical support as appropriate.
Monitors all stages of mill operation to ensure Standard Quality and Operating practices and guidelines are followed. Minimize unit downtime and takes steps to improve performance of facility equipment.
Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
Manages department budget and drives cost saving strategies.
Audits the writing, editing, auditing, reviewing and distributing of SOPs.
Department and provide the necessary course of action to correct problem areas.
Complete all required paperwork on a timely basis and retain for historical purposes.
Work within the parameters created by the Quality System and Environmental Standard.
Search for and cultivate ideas that stimulate growth for continuous improvement, dashboards and document implementation.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Material Science, Metallurgy or Metallurgical Engineering or Minimum of 5-year Rolling Mill process or engineering experience.

This is a full-time, hourly level position.
The plant processes wheat into flour and feed products. The process operates continuously and is staffed seven days per week, twenty-four hours per day.
Entry level/training position leading to mill operator I (candidate must be willing and able to advance within the milling department)
Perform operational duties in an industrial, wheat processing facility
Set-up, adjust, and monitor various processing machinery
