This role inspects all machines in their respective areas (Shellers or VTAs) on shelling area, including paddy machines/precision graders. Reports to the Miller or Production Supervisor any problems with machinery or operating efficiencies.
- Keep good Sheller Rolls on all shellers.
- Check each machine for shelling efficiency hourly.
- Check each paddy machines for any mechanical problems.
- Report any machinery involved with shelling system to supervisor.
- Report any problems with any machine/elevators or screw conveyors.
- Adjust speed of shellers as production requires. Maintain proper flow of product.
- Inform Miller or Production Supervisor of any Bin changes for documentation purposes.
- Must be assertive and self-motivated.
- Must be able to work overtime and on weekends as required.
- Keep Milling Equipment (VTAs and KB40s) in good condition in order to obtain required quality and production throughput.
- Check product for brokens content and check temperature on all 3 breaks twice per shift.
- Adjust speed of Milling Equipment as production requires.
- Maintain proper flow to each milling break in order to have consistent flow through between each system.
- Assist in keeping work area clean.
- Must be assertive and self-motivated.

Sets up and operates large boring mills, lathes, universal mills and drill press.
Uses hoist to position work piece and correctly aligns and fastens work piece to the machine.
Uses precision measuring and layout tools to determine machining methods and work process.
Observes work piece and verifies conformance to specifications and prints.
Maintains machine tooling and jigs in an orderly fashion. Requisitions parts and supplies as needed.
Re-grinds and sharpens tools as needed.
Performs routine maintenance and repair on machine shop equipment.
When required, spot welds.

Machine Operator- Cold Form Operator (3Rd Shift)
Operates and sets up the Cold Form Cell which includes the Asahi, The Wash Tank, and Annealing Ovens, where extremely high level of fixture changes or set-ups occur. Sets up, operates, and performs specialized tasks such as loading programs, assembling and disassembling tooling in the Asahi. Operates under minimal or no supervision in this specialized process area. Sets up, operates and performs minor maintenance of all craft area equipment. Has advanced manufacturing/quality knowledge. Set up and operate cold header machines and auxiliary equipment to produce high quality fasteners while meeting on-time delivery, productivity, safety, quality, and housekeeping metrics.
1.Set-up cold header machines and auxiliary equipment (including wire drawers, wire welders, and grinders) per drawings and specifications.

PRIMARY FUNCTION: To setup and operate a computer numerical controlled vertical boring mill, vertical turret lathe to perform various boring, facing, turning, etc., operations on component parts for compressors and turbines.
Setup and operate a manual or CNC lathe, mill, jig bore, etc. to do a variety of close tolerance machining.
Produce parts from prints, samples, sketches or drawings and check work, using standard, or special gauging devices. All work must conform to highest quality standards.
Install and adjust tools, set feeds and speeds, install fixtures, blocks, shims, and clamping devices.
Load and unload parts with following established Siemens procedures for loading and unloading parts and materials.
Oil and grease machine as required. Clean machine at regular intervals. Use coolant when machining.
Confirm to all safety procedures and policies
QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to use math, follow complex drawings, and perform complex measurements.
Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain Fork Truck License and a crane license. Minimum 3 years of CNC Vertical machining experience required. Proven ability to use precision gages and set up tooling to high accuracies.
Proven ability to read and interpret complex drawings. Successful applicants must be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and PFT test.

Skin Mill Operators prepare to set-up job (e.g., production/tool orders, first lots, tool tryouts, tape tryouts) or run previously set-up job by reviewing work order, tie-in sheets, load boards, operator's or setup documents, and drawings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure that the correct work order, drawings, operator documents, program, and parts/material are at the machine for the media to be run.
Operate electric stackers and overhead cranes, as required, to move material/parts and tools.
Check machine set-up and/or parts completed by previous operator to determine progress on a job, as required, and ensure safe working conditions.

Retrieve and download NC/CNC (numerical control/computer numerical control) programs to machine controller using computing equipment and downloading from various servers/data bases.
Select and check cutting tools per program or NC/CNC documents.
Ensure cutters are the correct type, length, diameter, radius, are sharp and in good condition.
Load and unload cutters following NC/CNC program or set-up documents, using tool holders, spindle tapers, hand tools (e.g., wrenches, mallets).
Set cutter offsets using gauge blocks, when required.
Set machine coordinates or index points per NC/CNC documents, including cutter offset/compensations and tool heights, using controller keyboard or pendant control and set blocks.
Run NC/CNC programs to machine rough and finish cut parts/materials following NC/CNC documents.
Perform Manual Data Input (MDI) operations.
Monitor machine during operation for unusual vibration or sounds; watch machine gauges and controller display or digital readout for warnings.
Visually check cutter path, clearance, and chips to ensure smooth operation.
Visually check work after completion of each operation in job and/or completed job to ensure parts are complete per drawing and that there are no defects (e.g., tool marks, mismatch, incorrect machine finish, Cutter Lines and Chip Smear).
Dimensionally check key features, as required, using precision measuring tools (e.g., digital micrometer, calipers, dial indicators and CL5).
Handle and dispose of hazardous materials (e.g., coolants, solvents) in approved manner (per Material Safety Data Sheets) using personal protective equipment as required.
Maintain personal and tool certifications, as required.

Mill Operator - Level 4

The Coeur Silvertip mine located in British Columbia, just 10 miles south of the Yukon border is seeking a Mill Operator – Level 4 to work in a camp based environment rotating on a two week in/two week out shift rotation.

The Mill Operator – Level 4 role is within the Mill Operations Department reporting to the Mill Supervisor.
Operation of Feeders, Crushers, Conveying systems and Dust Collectors;
Operation of Conveying systems, and Bagging Machine;
Perform pre-operational checks, and operate equipment according to Safe Operating Procedures;
Monitor equipment and processes and ensure equipment deficiencies and operational issues are reported clearly;
Conduct troubleshooting activities when problems arise;
Complete Operator Report Sheets and Daily Log Books.
Previous experience in an industrial environment;
Previous experience in mineral processing plant or crushing plant;
Valid driver's license;
Physically fit to perform the duties of the position;
Ability to work with a diverse cross-cultural workforce.
