Field Engineer – Cold Formed Steel – Riverside, CA
Work with a diverse group of individuals as a TEAM to develop relationships within the commercial construction industry, with a heavy emphasis on Cold Formed Steel connections. Utilize your technical expertise to build trust with our business partners (Engineers, Contractors, Distribution, City Governments) through developing solutions to help their projects finish on time and under budget.
This position requires the right blend of engineering skill and the ability to apply a sales process. These talents will be used to create value-engineered solutions and influence key decision makers on their course of action. The position will be expected to present relevant engineered solutions to design professionals as well review plans, walk on jobsites to evaluate needs and offer Simpson products that help our partners meet their goals. The position will provide support at trade shows, industry events and workshops.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
% Time Job Responsibilities 30% Establish and maintain relationships with design professionals and specifiers, in an effort to obtain the specification of Simpson Strong-Tie products. 20% Utilize engineering background to develop relationships with major contractors, developing value-engineered solutions for their day to day challenges. 20% Work closely with the Simpson sales team and the distribution chain to Identify sales opportunities and move the project from prospect through completion. 10% Conduct technical presentations for individuals, groups and professional associations; focusing on both general technical knowledge as well as the advantages and use of Simpson Strong-Tie products. 10% Develop solutions for a wide variety of applications using your experience, product knowledge and training. 10% Identify new products and testing opportunities. Assist in development and review of technical literature.
Education & Certification

Cooler Storage Loader
Description: Receives from plant production operations, on conveyors, a variety of finished products, packed in a variety of types and sizes of containers. Separates by product, type and size then stacks in assigned areas in the refrigerated warehouse.
Working from load orders, loads out individual route trucks with a variety of merchandise, including all milk products, drink products, and a variety of other products. Also responsible for obtaining stored products from such areas as cold storage in order to load trucks accurately. May handle adds, cuts, and shortages of merchandise before trucks leave loading dock. after adds and cuts, may assist in product inventory.
Responsible for housekeeping of work areas. May perform various other duties as directed. Works under close supervision.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. must be capable of reading and understanding instructions, and have knowledge of basic math.
Experience: Should have related shipping or receiving experience.
Must be able to lift 50-80 lbs, work on feet for entire 10 hour shift and be able to work in a cold environment for the entire shift. Must be able to work well with other people. Must be able to keep work area clean and organized.
Must have good work history.

As a Project Executive for Graycor Construction Company, you will lead business development and operations oversight primarily in the Temperature Controlled Food Processing and Storage buildings market including food and beverage manufacturing, cold storage and distribution centers. Railroad Vehicle Loader
Basic purpose of position: Perform the essential functions required to prepare the vehicles for unloading and/or securing the railcar for movement upon completion of loading. The process requires the use of an adjustable loading ramp, driving various types of vehicles onto or off of the railcars in a safe and quality manner meeting all requirements of our customer.
Comply with all industry, customer and company safety regulations and operating procedures;
Pre-inspection of vehicles on railcar including management notification of findings;
Inspect and assist in opening and closing railcar end doors;
Identify repairs that can be performed by Road & Rail Services;
Assist in raising and lowering hinged railcar decks;
Inspect, install and remove bridge plates;
Remove and properly store vehicle securement devices (unloading operation only);
Properly secure vehicle for railcar movement (loading operation only);
Drive vehicles, at all times, in accordance with company and customer instructions/procedures;
Drive vehicles to proper parking bay by assigned route for either railcar or truck shipment;
Conduct vehicle inventory;
