Skill in setting up and adjusting machines for finishing operations and to refine such adjustments for the weight, color, machinability and quality of paper stock being used and to prevent machining impressions on the printed materials. Must be able to calculate distances, clearances, and fits in combining machines.
Skill in using the full range of standard and specialized tools and devices to adjust and maintain the functional accuracy and operating conditions of the collating machines. Physical Demands: Job requires ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Completes all paperwork associated with the position.
Responsible for housekeeping/recycling in his/her work area.
Assist in set up and operation of Collator.
Ability to lift signatures and load pockets at a continual and rapid rate.
Performs minor machine repairs and preventive maintenance.
Must be able to read and understand manufacturing orders and routings.
Possess the ability to operate various equipment within the department, including the taping machine.
Work with the operator as needed in all areas of machine during set up or breakdown, helping to insure smooth flow, efficient set ups and to minimize downtime.
Ability to understand and perform quality process checks, including in process audits and process qualifications.
