Our client is an International precision metal-stamping manufacturer that is a leader in the production of fineblanked parts for the automotive industry. They make all of their tools and dies in-house on three shifts. Their clients include Ford, General Motors, Chrysler, Honda, and
To build tools, dies, and components of average complexity; repair dies to specifications; work with engineering drawings under minimum supervision to complete tasks
Major Duties and
- Read engineering drawings of average complexity.
- Build and/or repair tools from those drawings using the necessary machining operations and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and make decisions on tool manufacturing procedures in conjunction with the group leader or manager and press supervisors.
- Maintain in-process Quality Control procedures and documentation.
- Assist in trying out tools and optimizing to achieve Quality Control accepted parts.
- Housekeeping and 5S in and around machinery.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
This is an apprentice program with the opportunity for growth.
Salary: Starting at $20/hr with a shift premium of $1.25 for 2nd shift or $2.00 for 3rd shift.

Tool & Die Maker Viii - Sanford
Basic Position Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to all areas of manufacturing at the Moen Sanford facility
Perform maintenance tasks necessary to ensure a safe and productive environment
Read and analyze drawings containing assemblies, sub-assemblies and details
Read and interpret GD&T information on drawings
Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical systems such as injection molds
Assist engineering and production teams to develop permanent corrective actions
Knowledge of 3D modeling and assembly to produce or modify detail drawings using Creo or AutoCAD software
Operate CNC and manual style Tool Room equipment
Capable of producing complex parts from detail drawings in a timely manner
Capable of fitting shut offs for injection molds
Design and construct highly intricate tools, fixtures, dies, patterns, and gauges to close tolerances
Capable of welding simple shut offs and parting lines then machining them back to print dimensions
Lubricant and preform scheduled maintenance on equipment
Communicate with manufacturing supervision, engineering, maintenance department, operators, and other technicians to
resolve process and equipment issues. Present information on status of ongoing projects at KPI or other meetings
Develop and implement training procedures on the proper operation of equipment
Perform each and every job to quantity standards while maintaining neat and orderly work areas
Collect and analyze data for problem solving, then recommend solutions
Work different shifts and overtime as necessary for training and troubleshooting

High school diploma or a G.E.D. Two year technical degree in related field preferred
8+ years' experience designing, building, repairing injection molds and machinery
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, uses and maintenance
Strong electrical/mechanical skills
Ability to understand schematics/blueprints and utilize sketches or instructions to construct tools, gauges, fixtures and replacement parts
Capable of disassembling, assembling and adjusting all types of machines and injection molds
Experience with pneumatic systems

Tool & Die Maker
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Builds Dies – Work layout, machine and grind and fit
details – thorough knowledge of tooling, machining processes, and die functions
– distractions and interruptions to other jobs. Sharpens and repairs dies in tool room – Disassembles dies, inspects, welds, repairs, grinds, detail, fits detail into dies – same
skill requirements as above, same distractions, and interruptions plus
frustrations of machine shortage at times. Maintains dies in the Press Room – Analyzes die problems, troubleshoots problems, repairs damaged details, sharpens, aligns, times dies – same skills as above plus knowledge and experience with presses,
feed mechanisms, releases, timing, and die set-up. Distractions, noise, working in confined and dangerous quarters, oil, and compounds.
Required knowledge of steels, stresses, and material. Have the ability to mentally picture position and shape
of objects; predict position in space after movement.
May be given certain authority within job scope by Manager

High school diploma or G.E.D. Completed technical school courses through a
four-year apprenticeship preferred. Requires use of advanced shop math and

five years experience. Jobs which involve very little repetition, assignments frequently present a new set of complex problems or conditions. Tool and die repairing and building of the most-complicated molding dies and progressive metal dies where construction details are frequently left to the employee to develop.
Must be available to work either 2nd (2:45am-11pm) or 3rd shift (10:45pm-7am).
Cabinet Maker will build and maintain all cabinets, furniture and related equipment throughout the Facility under the direction of the Cabinet Shop Supervisor and or assigned Cabinet Maker. Provides support with minimal instruction or supervision in accordance with the standards of Pechanga Resort & Casino. Cabinet Maker must be knowledgeable with all woodworking hand tools and equipment associated with a cabinet shop member.

Responsible for supervising and coordinating staff assigned to the manufacture and repair of FF & E (Furniture Fixtures & Equipment
Maintain in good working condition equipment and hand tools in cabinet shop using accepted practices
Build maintain and install all cabinetry using skills of the trade
Utilizes available resources to accomplish daily tasks
Takes a proactive approach in using Best Practices in the manufacture and repair of assigned projects
Adheres to safety policies and procedures and OSHA regulations using best practices
Completes assigned projects to accepted standards on time using tools and materials provided
Responsible for the proper maintenance and operation of the equipment and all associated mechanical and electrical systems related to same
Protects the assets of Pechanga Resort & Casino and maintains confidentiality and integrity when working within the resort and casino
ACCOUNTABILITY: This position has no supervisory responsibilities
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION: One year certificate from college or technical school is required; Five years of experience with Cabinet Shop equipment and associated systems, and must be able to read blue prints; or equivalent combination of education and experience
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: This position requires the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. This position also requires the ability to write simple correspondence. The ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization is required as well.

The Model Maker will utilize technical drawings, blue prints or other specifications to construct prototypes. Job duties also include aligning, fitting, measuring, laying out and inspecting parts, studying specifications, gathering materials, identifying flaws and operating machinery.

Tool & Die Maker Journeyman
Plan and construct a wide variety of tools, dies, fixtures and gauges to very close tolerances, or construct more complex units where design is available.
Perform development work, layout and difficult tool room machine operations, fitting, timing and adjusting, e.g. combination dies for parts or irregular contour, box type drill jigs with difficult locating or nesting features, ordinary index milling fixtures.
Dismantles and repairs or replaces parts of damaged dies and fixtures, fits and assembles parts, and tests repaired dies for proper operation.
Operates cranes safely to remove and/or relocate dies to specific work stations/equipment.
Establishes and maintains an effective preventative maintenance program. Ensures all tools are properly fit for use.
Prepares sketches for machining of tool details.
Performs basic layout inspections of both tooling and manufactured components in press.
Must have all tools common to trade practice
Proficient in reading and working with blueprints.
Capable of working with varied ranges of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Proficient in workshop theory and calculation.
Overhead Crane Operation.
Ability to work with SPC.
Participates in ongoing Continuous Improvement processes.
Takes direction from Supervisor/Lead Hand, as applicable.
