DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set up and operate various machines consistent with the Tool & Die trade including but not limited to Lathes, Mills, Drills, Saws, Shapers, Die repair and rework, etc. in order to produce required product from prints, samples, and sketches.
Reviews prints in order to plan sequence of operations required for job.
Selects proper materials to be used including type of steel, machines, tooling, gauging instruments, etc.
Uses various types of gauging and measuring instruments in order to check and dimensionally verify the
part being used.
Assists in the design, manufacture and development of new tools or processes working closely with
Engineering and other department personnel.
Troubleshoots and develops corrective actions for tooling or process related problems on production
Qualified journeyman card holder, must have completed and provide evidence of having completed an approved apprentice program or have a minimum of 8 year's experience and be able to provide evidence of such.
High school diploma required.
Must possess own tools including but not limited to micrometers, depth mics, inside mics,
calipers, indicators, radius gages, etc.

The Tool & Die Maker will support the manufacturing team and production floor. This role is hands-on in the cells developing tooling, and fixturing as well as operating. This associate will work with the team to close associate suggestions, implement productivity improvements, and implement kaizen actions.
Adhere to all safety programs and policies.
Set up and operation of Tool Room machines (CNC & non-CNC), tools, and equipment including manual mills, lathes, band saw, and surface grinder to fabricate complex tools, dies, jigs, fixtures and components to support design and production needs.
Mechanical aptitude to trouble shoot cell tool and fixture problems and implement solutions.
Support new product introductions through fixturing concepts, design, and creation.
Be able to machine to tight tolerances with exceptional quality
Support plant engagement through completion of employee suggestions.
Helps train cell operators in the proper use of equipment.
Helps perform preventative maintenance of fixturing and tooling within the plant.
Support Manufacturing team to develop productivity and quality improvements.
Perform duties of similar complexity as assigned by the Facility Manager and communicates essential information to the Facility Manager as required.

Color Services Trainee
The color services trainee will be part of the Coil and Building Products Color Services Team focused on one of the largest coil customers we currently service. They will provide custom color matches, standards, and PDS/EDS documents upon request. Candidate must have good intrapersonal skills as they will have direct contact with the customer. About this Position:
Support vehicle regulation compliance (certification) and Part and Material development/approval by maintaining database to ensure proper tracking of new model change points and overall mass production readiness. Act as the regulation compliance/Color person-in-charge for designed new models and mass production support, and conduct audits as necessary. Responsible for analyzing potential certification and color approval issues, maintaining SAP schedule, ensuring implementation of needed countermeasures and tracking recurrence prevention on assigned models.
Learn systems and processes to support Regulatory Compliance (Centralized Certification) functions. Maintain Export Model Certification approval, including change point control.
Maintain a Specified Action Plan (SAP) throughout a project life cycle. Conduct compliance audits. Maintain Radio Law approval.
Part marking document confirmation. New Model project reporting. Certification cause, countermeasure and recurrence prevention.
Lead Color Development for North America as it relates to outsourced parts and specifically to the material color match for designated Honda colors (HES colors). Lead/support New Model Readiness (NMR) activities for designated Honda Directed Suppliers (HDS). Communicate/negotiate part and/or material color concerns with Designers at HRA-LA/HRA-O as well as HGW/HGT. Facilitate receipt, storage and distribution of Design-issued Color Standards and Master Samples.
Execute processes, procedures and flows to achieve certification compliance and vehicle color development using a Specified Action Plan (SAP). Maintain certification compliance status by supplier, factory audits and in database. Work with OEM suppliers to gather certificates, color approvals, control plans, and data to meet your assigned SAP and project deadlines.
Create a regulation compliance part list and part marking check lists. Coordinate and conduct audit, support closure of open Certification and Color items. Receive radio law tracking list and obtain the appropriate compliance certifications.
Confirm regulation compliance requirements by comparing parts list, to part drawings, to export market compliance documentation. Confirm test results meet test criteria and regulation compliance requirements. Confirm supplier approval and part/vehicle, marking requirements; post results in database.
Clarify, verify and communicate certification marking requirements. Lead Color Development activity for respective models in North America – collaborate with Honda factory Purchasing, Honda Design and supply base. Maintain database (MS Access) and manage SAP to achieve material color formulation approval of outsourced parts for respective models.
Manage receipt/distribution/storage of applicable Color Standards and Master Samples for respective models. Support vehicle Color Harmony events at Honda factory locations according to SAP. Facilitate/Lead new model readiness reviews for Honda Directed Suppliers (HDS) for respective models.
Track approvals to each market and required schedule. Report the status to BPL/EPLs.
If no-go status, then provide support to explain to BPL/EPLs.
Investigate and confirm cause, countermeasure, and recurrence prevention activity. Summarize results and develop regulation compliance improvement plans. Implement regulation compliance process improvement themes. Complete gap analysis to recover to any SAP requirements (or gaps). Report progress of activities to Supplier Quality Department (SQD) management as prescribed.
