This position is responsible for supporting the sales efforts at a Sherwin-Williams paint store, servicing wholesale and retail customers. It will prepare customers' paint orders quickly and accurately, which involves tinting and mixing paint, preparing draw-downs for submittal to customers, maintaining accurate work order files and formulas, and cleaning, filling and repairing equipment as necessary. This position may also assist with general warehouse, delivery and customer service duties as needed, including loading and unloading of material, and waiting on customers.

Responsible for setting up the mixing area involving gathering ingredients and starting a mix sheet at the beginning of each shift.
Ensure hopper is full of dough.
Responsible for cleaning the entire mixing area.
Responsible for programming the bulk flour and water systems.
Ensure mixes come out one after the other with no interruption. Just as importantly, the mixes must have consistent quality. Texture, temperature, and tensile strength must not vary from mix to mix. If they do vary, the entire operation down line from the mixing area is affected in an adverse manner. The mixer communicates with the line operator to be sure mixes are excellent. Uninterrupted consistent quality is the first goal of the mixer. Requirements
SPECIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT: The Mixer Assistant is required to pick up and move or dump 8-12 bags of ingredients weighing up to 50 lbs. every hour depending on what product is running. Applicants must meet this requirement to be considered for the Assistant Mixer position.

Burn-in and color match
Read Work Order carefully for the following:
Special color options
Check for filler and rag marks, especially on tops and top edges
Check inlays for small voids and large veneer open grain
Check pre-fill application on tops. Make sure Wheelie is being used on all tops. Except for units over 52" high
Check for veneer defects - especially on tops and tall doors
Check sealer application for good coverage over entire unit
