The Manager-Color Applications leads a team of scientists that support the Mars Wrigley Confectionery non-artificial color program. This associate is part of the Mars Wrigley Confectionery Global Science Group and creates, organizes and manages color research projects to support the company's current and future business needs. The Manager-Color Applications leads, motivates and develops their team to deliver high quality, relevant color research for effective transfer into the business.
Lead and develop a team of scientists within Color Science. Provide expert input onto the research strategy and define priority projects including identification and deployment of key resources requirements.

Color & Central Certification Engineer
Position Core Role:
Learn systems and processes to support Regulatory Compliance (Centralized Certification) functions. Maintain Export Model Certification approval, including change point control.
Maintain a Specified Action Plan (SAP) throughout a project life cycle. Conduct compliance audits. Maintain Radio Law approval.

Confirm test results meet test criteria and regulation compliance requirements. Confirm supplier approval and part/vehicle, marking requirements; post results in database.
Clarify, verify and communicate certification marking requirements. Lead/support Color Development activity for respective modles in North America – collaborate with Honda factory Purchasing, Honda Design and supply base. Maintain database (MS Access) and manage SAP to achieve material color formulation approval of outsourced parts for respective models.
Manage receipt/distribution/storage of applicable Color Standards and Master Samples for respective models. Support vehicle Color Harmony events at Honda factory locations according to SAP. Facilitate/Lead new model readiness reviews for Honda Directed Suppliers (HDS) for respective models.
Track approvals to each market and required schedule. Report the status to BPL/EPLs.
If no-go status, then provide support to explain to BPL/EPLs.

- Experience in Graphics Arts industry (e.g. Photo or Design Studio/Agency environment) or similar environment a plus.

Basic knowledge of the Company's products, solutions and services a plus.
Basic understanding of the market and business environment that affects the assigned clients as it applies to functional area.
Basic understanding of effective Print, Photo Studio, and/or Digital production, processes, roles, tools (digital and conventional) and workflow practices and trends.
Basic to proficient in photo and color manipulation techniques and processes such as:
Color conversion (e.g RGB-CMYK ) and correction
Profiling (e.g. Press)
Trapping and bleeding of imagery
Basic to proficient in Pre-media and/or Creative Services and solutions.
Good people, organizational, and analytical skills (including attention to detail).
Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic to proficient Computer Software (SW)
Apple Mac equipment and operating systems
Overall Business SW (e.g. MS-Office Suite)
Specific Functional SW (e.g. Abode Design Suite, Acrobat plus QuarkXpress; Project Management Software; Agile; or others; etc.)
Ability to interpret concept and/or brand guidelines through to artwork execution (e.g. digital, photographic, etc.).
Ability to develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with peers and colleagues in one or more areas of the organization.
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal clients and/or external clients (e.g. printers, product manufacturers, service providers, and/or clients).
Ability to work well in a team environment, with a moderate degree of supervision, to handle a heavy workload, to prioritize work, and to meet assigned deadlines.
