Machinists make or modify metal parts that are required on the product assembly lines, using machine tools. Machinists follow drawings and rely on experience to produce parts according to specification. Machinists develop solutions to a variety of complex machining requirements.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES include:
Programs and makes offset adjustments on mills and/or surface grinders.
Works safely at all times.
Identifies and uses proper tools and gauging.

The position reports to the Production Supervisor and Production Team Lead. This position is responsible for the production of various columns and suppressors. Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues. Works on problems of limited scope. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Under close supervision, read bills of material, discrete jobs and production procedures. Under close supervision perform assembly, packing, equilibration; testing using various ion chromatography equipment, and embalming of columns and/or suppressors. Under close supervision follows written and verbal instructions using common laboratory equipment by performing the following duties.
Handle chemicals and solutions, eluents, and waste in a safe and appropriate manner. Approximately 50% of the daily activities will be spent handling chemicals and mixing solutions.
Follow production schedule; complexity limited to 1 to 2 products at a time.
Maintain production records on all products packed, assembled and tested.
Record daily quantities, yields, and discrete job status.
Inform the Production Lead immediately of any material shortages and/or production issues.
Fill out Rejection and Store Transaction forms as needed.
Fill out time sheet daily.
Assist teammates in achieving goals, often requiring multi-tasking.
Additional duties as assigned.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear and smell. Responsible for tracking all shop drawing related paperwork/electronic files and correspondence including revisions to shop drawings, piece tickets RFI's, DR's, Plant Bulletins, Field Bulletins, and Amendments to contract documents, etc. Maintains an electronic log of contract documents.
Read and interpret contract documents including A/E drawings and specifications for incorporation into KP erection drawings and has ability to resolve "drawing type" questions and simple engineering questions.
Must have the knowledge of standards related to and an ability to perform the following as needed:
o Detail precast products accurately, completely, and clearly for approval, fabrication, and erection, on time and within budget.
o Draw erection and detail drawings for precast plank projects ranging in size from small to large commercial with degree of difficulty from easy to very difficult.
o Develop erection drawings and piece tickets for a variety of precast pre-stressed concrete products (beams, columns, double tees, stairs, stadia, plank, walls, etc.) for multiple project types ranging in size from small to large with degree of difficulty easy to very difficult.
o Draw design build projects which require flexibility, schedule driven focus, information coordination, and developing drawings on their own.
Provides leadership in drawing and detailing a large project requiring a team approach to drawing. Reviews and redlines other external details work.
Work with internal detailing group to maintain and improve KP standards. Assists in training external detailers on KP standard practices.
Problem solves with engineering.
Utilizes knowledge of various basic engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
At least once per month this position will be required to walk through the plant and yard and visit job sites to view the product and process of precast concrete manufacturing, yarding/shipping and erection.
Must adhere to all company and MiOSHA safety rules.
Must work within the attendance policy guidelines.

The Precast Technician Basic works in precast pouring concrete into forms. Other duties of the Precast Technician Basic include oiling forms, placing the reinforcing down, and cleaning their work area. Allied Mineral Products, Inc. has an opening for a Refractory Shapes Design Technician & Estimator. Preferred applicants should have an Associate's degree in business or related technical field or equivalent work experience. Excellent math skills (geometry) and the ability to read and understand detailed drawings is a necessity. Experience in engineering, design, Inventor or 3D-CAD software knowledge and drafting skills desired. Experience in sales, and/ or marketing desirable. Knowledge of refractory products and characteristics of refractory, including pre-cast of refractory shapes is preferred. Knowledge of concrete casting and estimating is desirable. Must have strong communication skills both oral and written.
Key Duties Include:
Review project requests for precast shapes applications. Organize and prioritize those requests.
Develop precast shapes designs unique to each project request.
Communication with project requestors to track down missing or additional information that may be essential or even critical to the design of a particular shape.
Working with the Shapes Sales Team, Sales Manager, Product Manager, & Shapes Production Team, perform the estimating and pricing function to maximize profitability and grow sales in line with APR and Allied corporate and marketing strategies.
Working in conjunction with the Precast shapes plant production team, there will be a. focus on the estimating function to maximize labor efficiencies and manufacturing efficiencies in the costing of shapes. The job will require part of everyday working at the shapes plant offices, and plant floor to gain an understanding of manufacturing costs on the base level, and to interact with manufacturing people also to help better understand the intricacies of making custom designed precast refractory shapes.
Working with the Sales Manager and Product Manager, perform follow up function to determine status of quoted shapes with feedback from field sales people. Use the feedback information to help improve overall project quoting in terms of competitive pricing, better/alternate designs of shapes, product options, etc.
Produce full cost estimates for shapes to be promoted to the customer. i.e. develop complete cost estimates for forms, manufacturing, packaging, etc. In turn produce the final quotes for shapes. Precast shapes projects may include individual shapes, or multiple shapes of varying geometry for the purpose of lining large vessels.
Work closely with Allied Engineering group when a any project request requires precast shapes. Sometimes this means the shapes system design comes from Engineering as a request. Sometimes this means taking a shape request to our Engineering department to assist in the design and produce drawings as needed.
Produce ACAD drawings & sketches of shapes using Inventor & Vault software on an as needed basis. Other software types may also be specified.
Develop a protocol, and integrate a drawing numbering system with our Engineering department for the purpose of properly storing and retrieving precast shapes drawings.
Develop a system to produce "AS BUILT" drawings of every precast shape that APR currently manufactures on a regular basis, and all shapes manufactured in the future. Maintain a storage system of drawings for manufactured shapes.
Assist when needed in checking incoming orders for correct information, pricing, latest drawings, "approved" drawings, etc.
Work closely with our Administrative Assistant to produce final quote package to be sent to the customer. Also working with our assistant to ensure our project files are maintained on a constant basis

As the Product and Marketing Specialist, you drive profitable sales growth by managing execution of the signage, marketing, shipment, replenishment processes, and by ensuring back of house standards are met and maintained. You are the subject matter expert in all product operational processes, and ensure Brand Associates consistently meet company productivity standards and compliance measures. You support the development of the team. You create a culture of engagement and high performance through development and coaching of all Brand Associates.
As an Old Navy leader, your first priority is to contribute to the success of your store. This means that you not only deliver in your role as the Product and Marketing Specialist, but you also model leadership behaviors and deliver as a manager on duty. As the Manager on Duty, you deliver results during your assigned time, drive key performance indicators and brand loyalty by leading through your team. You make decisions and collaborate with other members of your store leadership team to prioritize work based on business needs and company direction.

Must be at least 18 years of age
College degree or equivalent work experience preferred
2-3 years of soft lines and visual merchandising experience preferred
Ability to effectively communicate with customers and employees
Ability to maneuver around sales floor, stock room, work with and around cleaning chemicals, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work a flexible schedule (including travel) to meet the needs of the business, including evenings, overnight and weekend shifts
