Machining personnel are responsible for the machining of all Hydrophobic and/or Multi-focal lenses and documentation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Operate 1PC or 3PC Machining Cell safely and efficiently using the Optoform Lathes and Mills combination efficiently.
2.Consistently meet quality and daily shift outputs
3.Keep Machining cell clean and organized
4.Maintain minimum average yield of 90% at Pre Tumbling
5.Complete understanding of all applicable MSOP's quality and line clearance requirements

The NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services provide services that promote and improve agriculture, agribusiness and forests; protect consumers and businesses; and conserve farmland and natural resources for the prosperity of all North Carolinians. The Department employs approximately 2000 employees.
This position is responsible for the proper operation, calibration, and routine maintenance of a variety of land management equipment. Equipment will range from newer technologically advanced and highly specialized equipment, to older less advanced machines used in the production, harvesting and distribution of forest tree seedlings and/or maintenance of tree seed orchards, including but not limited to; lateral root pruners, under cutters, top clippers, multiple bed sprayers, seedling harvesters, and precision seeders.
Other land management equipment includes: motor graders, rotary mowers, disc harrows, dump trucks, bull dozer, excavators, and box blades. This position will also be responsible for the application of a wide range of fumigants and pesticides. Seedling distribution vehicles will range from pickup trucks to 53' refrigerated tractor trailers.
This position will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment. Position provides training, oversight, and direction to seasonal contract labor and/or inmate crews. Employees must at all times adhere to all department safety policies and procedures.
Normal work schedule will be a 40-hour work week from Monday-Friday. Daily schedule will be 8:00 am-4:30 pm with a 30- minute lunch break.
During seasonal periods of planting and harvesting, work schedule will require extended working times. The extended work week will require long hours and occasional weekends. Overnight stays out of town are occasionally required as well.
Work environment includes exposures to adverse weather, forest pests, falling limbs, cramped conditions, extreme cold, intense heat, dust, and debris. Repeated heavy lifting required up to 100lbs.

Under general supervision, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of equipment designed for the packaging of tea. b. Operates thermite melt line equipment, electric furnaces and similar equipment to react, melt and/or sinter raw material mixtures.
c. Operates lift truck, sizing equipment, wheelabrator and hand tools to clean, crush, mill, screen and inspect (white light, UV light and automated x-ray) work in process to create finished product.
d. Completes and maintains all records and documents to support work area operations.
e. When the assigned work area changes to manufacture another product, operates a forklift and uses a variety of hand tools to clean the work area to prevent the cross-contamination of product.
Disassembles and reassembles work area equipment. Thoroughly cleans all equipment, work surfaces and the work area for inspection by a Crew Leader or Supervisor.
f. Continually monitors the condition and operation of the work area lift trucks, lifting devices, manufacturing equipment, building and hand tools.
Perform defined daily maintenance and properly stores all hand tools and equipment. When repairs or added maintenance is required, promptly notifies a Crew Lead to generate a Maintenance Work Order. Contacts a Crew Leader to replace expendable hand tools and to suggest changes and upgrades to work area equipment.
