General Inside Laborer
Perform various general/manual labor duties on frequent basis such as shoveling; applying rock dust; gathering and delivering supplies and materials; greasing conveyor belt rollers, tailpieces and head drives; assisting other miners in performing their duties, etc.
Assist in moving the section, which primarily involves installing/retrieving mine conveyor belt, associated structure and devices, and moving up/pulling back the section main electrical power distribution center, battery chargers and associated electrical cables.
May be required to operate mining equipment on an as needed basis.
Conduct all work activities in compliance with Federal and State coal mining laws and Company policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
General Job Requirements:
OH Experienced Miner certification.
Must be able to follow specific instructions while maintaining acceptable established standards of work performance and conduct, show the necessary and consistent energy, as well as acceptable mental and physical dexterity, for the satisfactory completion of the essential duties as summarized and defined.

To correctly make up pallets of cases of product that meet all customer and/or company specifications as to case counts, correct cases or acceptable substitutes, correct labels, correct size and counts on skids, etc. To keep raw material usage records accurately and assure that correct information is turned in to the Accounting Department.
Make up load tags for all skids.
Verify that all labels are correct.
Keep track of daily counts for each gluer and record each in the production book and forward specific information to the Accounting department.
To maintain the track and case sealer area in a clean and safe manner.
To label and/or mark all cases and skids correctly.
To inform the Supervisor of any needs of the palletizing area, i.e. tape, skids, supplies, etc.
To correctly fill out the completed job tickets and file in the "finished jobs" file.
To draw RSC's from the staging are or warehouse if Shipping & Receiving personnel are busy.
To assist the packers in getting corrugated cases to the finishing equipment.
When the workload allows, assist Shipping & Receiving personnel in stretch wrapping skids.
Complete others duties as assigned.
QUALITY ASSURANCE DUTIES:
Check all cases for correct contents, for identification and palletizing.
Verify that all labels and skid markings are correct.
Ensure that customer and/or company specifications as to skid size and quantity are met.
All loads must be stacked neatly and have tie sheets inserted when necessary.
Ensure that all cases are correctly taped.
Follow all WS Packaging Group, Inc.'s rules for the Food Safe Product Program.
SAFETY AND EXPOSURE TO POSSIBLE HAZARDS:
Operates all equipment with all guards and safety features.
Wears Company provided safety equipment as required by company policy, supplier instructions and/or OSHA regulations.
Stores all supplies, chemicals and equipment in a safe and orderly manner.
Lifting of cases of folding cartons from a track at waist height and restacking on skids from floor level to a height of approximately 60". Average weight of cases would be 40 pounds, with a range of 5-60 pounds. Twisting and bending is required while stacking corrugated cases on skids and while moving skids with hand trucks. Skid weights will range from 100-2000 pounds with an average of approximately 1250 pounds. Working in an environment with paper dust suspended in the air. Should have the ability to walk and stand on concrete floors for an 8-10 hour shift.
Minimum of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Balfour Beatty Construction is seeking a Skilled Laborer to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina to work on our Marion Square Project. This position performs a variety of tasks to maintain the productivity of the job site. The majority of work is completed on job sites in an office trailer or in an existing structure. Due to daily condition changes on construction projects, when employees are outside of the office trailer or structure, they must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required by the company's safety policies and as required for weather conditions.The project team and/or team member may need to move to other projected work geographic locations, if necessary.
The Skilled Laborer activities are coordinated with the Carpenter Foreman, Project Manager and/or the Superintendent to maintain the productivity of the job site. Assists Superintendent in coordinating subcontractors or supervises laborers and trade workers at the construction site. Monitors work performance, progress, and productivity of subcontractors and laborers/craft workers. Assists in monitoring costs as specified in contract documents. Directly oversee the performance of workers completing all phases of construction to meet company standards and owner expectations.
High school diploma preferred and on-the-job training required.

Track Laborer Regional-Welder
Repair and rebuild railroad track. Physical duties will require frequent walking over extended areas with uneven footing; flexibility sufficient for track maintenance tasks such as flexing to pick up tie plates; balance sufficient to walk on ballast; standing for more than half of each work day with periodic breaks; lift/carry and push/pull equipment and other objects weighing 25 lbs. (frequently), 50 lbs. (occasionally), and 75 lbs. (infrequently); occasional climbing on ladders; bending, stooping, and kneeling; good eye-hand coordination; and bilateral dexterity.
A track laborer's job consists of repairing and rebuilding railroad track, using hand tools to do so. Specific duties will include, but are not limited to, removing and replacing ties, pulling and driving spikes, shoveling rock ballast, loading and unloading equipment and material, repair and replace rail and remove and apply rail anchors and various other tasks, as assigned.
PERFORM TRACK MAINTENANCE, REPAIR, AND INSTALLATION. Drive spikes into ties with a spike maul; pull spikes with claw bar; install and remove rail anchors; slide, place, and align tie plates under rails; cut in new rails; plug old spike holes; with assistance, lift rails using manual track jack; sweep off ballast /rock from track and switches.
HANDLE AND MOVE TRACK MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT. With assistance, load/unload equipment weighing 85- to 100 lbs. (air hammer, rail drill) from back of cart or truck and carry to work site; without assistance, load/unload equipment weighing 50 to 75 lbs. (track jack, rail saw, rail drill); with assistance, remove and install rail using rail tongs, with assistance, remove ties and slide new ties into place using two-man tie tongs; with assistance, move debris away from work site (spike cans, anchors).
PRACTICE SAFE WORK HABITS. Understand and follow company and industry safety rules, practices, and procedures, wear prescribed safety apparel; take appropriate action when conditions threaten safety of self or coworkers; ensure equipment and work area are in safe operating condition before starting work; monitor for emergency situations by identifying visual signals and warning sounds.
OBSERVE THE CONDITION OF TRACK, TRACKBED, AND TRACK RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR PROBLEMS OR DEFECTS. Make quick visual inspections for broken rails, defective switches and signals, deteriorating trackbed, track obstructions and weather related problems; check switch points; observe right-of-way and passing trains for shifted loads and spillage.
WORK WITH EQUIPMENT. Safely and effectively operate the following: a hydraulic hammer to drive spikes; air or gas powered wrenches to loosen or tighten track bolts; hydraulic rail drill to drill holes in rail; portable abrasive rail saw to cut rails, and hydraulic spike pullers to remove spikes.
MAINTAIN TRACKBED. Remove and replace ballast; tamp ballast; unload or assist in unloading ballast from ballast cars.
Must be capable of performing physically strenuous work on a continuous basis
Ability to perform heavy physical labor.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must be able to read and comprehend regulations and instructions as well as possess good verbal communication skills.
Must be 21 years of age or older
Authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Ability to speak English in a clear, concise manner in order to communicate with coworker(s) and supervisor(s).
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, contractors and/or customers and effectively handle conflict situations.
