This highly visible position located at our York, PA Facility.
What you'll do:
This position will be responsible for safety, quality and productivity in all facets of the compounding process. This includes the mixing and blending of product from receiving raw materials to transferring finished batches to the packaging lines.
Responsible at all times for promoting a safety culture and awareness within their area. Support and adhere to all plant safety policies and procedures at all times.
Safe and efficient operation of all mixing and blending systems to meet or exceed all quality and customer production goals. Perform mechanical and maintenance troubleshooting of the lines, including the performance of all PM activities in the area. Perform any process or machine set-ups and changeovers.
Assist with the installation and set-up of new equipment as needed. Weigh accurate amounts of raw materials for product batching. Perform all necessary quality checks, review and audit work performed both during the process and at completion to ensure accuracy to work orders.
Assist with the training and certification program as needed. Computer operation including the automated batch processing system, e-mail, etc. Ensures all quality and food safety practices are followed at all times.
Assist Production Coordinator as needed. Other duties as assigned.
What you'll need:
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills – ability to build positive relationships at all levels both internal and external to the organization. Excellent communications skills – ability to communicate clearly and concisely in multiple media – verbal, written, etc.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong computer skills (MS Office Suite, WMS and SAP preferred). Strong mechanical and chemical aptitude, shop math skills and troubleshooting ability required. Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification required.

POSITION SUMMARY: Mixing, Milling Vacuum Extruding, Calendaring and /or Batch Off of a quality product to be transferred to other departments or plants.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: List primary duties and responsibilities of the job in order of importance and with percentage of time spent on each duty / responsibility. If this is a management level position, include supervisory responsibilities.
Read and following instructions, operate Batch Off and complete proper documents.
Produce a quality product.
Use designated cleaning agents and materials to clean rubber residue from stock leaf carts.
Use good housekeeping practices to maintain a clean, orderly and safe work area.
Follow all safety rules and safety procedures.

Previous experience preferred. Operator will be certified upon passing a written procedure and demonstrating proper operating procedures.

All Compounders are responsible for all activities associated with the manufacturing and filling operations, required to produce sterile drug products under aseptic conditions.

Formulate and compound sterile products under aseptic conditions.
Filling of sterile products under aseptic conditions.
Weighing and staging of raw materials. This requires pushing a kettle (on wheels) that weighs over 150 pounds.
Set up/preparation/cleaning and autoclaving components used in aseptic manufacturing operations. (Some lifting required, up to 55-60 lbs.) Any object greater than 60 pounds, not to exceed 100 lbs. must require the use of a buddy system. This system requires two employees to lift the object. No employee can lift any object greater than 60 lbs by themselves.
Cleaning and sanitizing aseptic production areas.
Reading and understanding written instruction as detailed on production batch records.
Routine aseptic gowning practices (must qualify by passing daily environmental monitoring). NOTE: Must have flexibility, discipline and not fall out of established limits.
Must assume any position required within the department for coverage.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum two years pharmaceutical industry experience preferably in Aseptic manufacturing.
High School diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred
Ability to meet attendance standards. All full-time employees are required to work a 40 hour week, most of which has to be during "regular" business hours. At times it may be necessary to work additional hours in order to get the required tasks accomplished to meet deadlines.
Must be a team orientated person.
Working knowledge of the metric system used for weighing raw materials and component preparation.
Overview Job Description Compound batches in accordance with written instructions provided in batches for personal care and OTC products while following cGMP guidance. Our Compounders are responsible for blending, mixing, and preparing batches in accordance to written specifications/procedures. This position reports to the Compounding Supervisor. Batch Maker - Compounder
The Batch Maker, also known as a Compounder, will make batches of liquid products in accordance with all established corporate policies related to safety and GMP.
This is a second shift position, typical hours from 2pm - 10pm.
You are also expected to participate in departmental improvement activities like SOP writing, safety audits, and project teams.
Accurately weighing raw materials

Transferring products to holding tanks
Sampling and testing raw materials and batches

The Sr. Chemist Compounder is responsible leading the compound development / adaptions and / or solutions for raw materials and compounds for rubber track, conveyer belt and related products. This person will be working closely with cross-functional teams to create next generation materials to meet customer specifications as well as maintaining developments for cost reduction.
