Position Summary Primary purpose of this position: Responsible for the dispensing of chemicals and compounding of bulk product according to department SOP´s and batch record requirements. Responsible for ensuring a safe workplace while producing a quality product.
Accountabilities • Basic weighing or measuring of materials, or products. • Understand the continuous improvement process. • Must be able to train and cross train less experienced compounders and cleaning technicians. • Ability to follow instructions precisely on the batch record. • Observe equipment operations so that abnormalities can be detected, and escalate abnormalities timely and appropriately • Operation of simple equipment. • Collect product samples and prepare them for laboratory analysis and testing. • Cleaning of compounding equipment (tanks/pumps/utensils). • Maintain a clean and organized work area • Clean and lubricate mechanical parts of machines and other small parts, to include transfer lines, mixing tanks and other equipment as needed. • Cleaning of portable equipment, such as pumps, fillers, storage containers, stationary storage tanks and return cleaned parts to designated storage areas. • Receipt of all bulk chemicals • Management of waste water and proper disposal. • Completion of the confined space entry program and the lock out tag out program • Ability to read and determine batch requirements. • Follow all EPC Safety/Environmental, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Lean 5S policies and regulation guidelines. • Perform other duties as assigned.

Controls raw materialsby using quantities required and specific to produce finished products and intermediates; receiving, sampling and verifying raw material supplies; recording raw materials usage.
PREPARES MIXERby cleaning and preparing the vessel for use in accordance to established procedures. Setting equipment controls; weighing and loading raw materials into the mixer.
Essential Job Functions
PRODUCES PRODUCT by mixing raw materials; monitoring and adjusting the mixing process. Completes associated documentation and electronic checks in the proper sequence.
PREPARES PRODUCT FOR NEXT PROCESS by unloading the mixer into totes, drums or vessels and, labeling the finished batch.
MAINTAINS QUALITY STANDARDS By verifying weight and contents of raw materials; conducting in-process batch inspections; documenting all process events; approving product for next step in manufacturing process. Submit completed documentation in a timely fashion.
PREPARES FOR NEXT BATCH by cleaning mixing equipment with Clean-In-Place (CIP) system, Steam-In-Place (SIP) system, washing with water, sanitizing with specified sanitizers and/or with specified methods.
MAINTAINS OPERATIONS by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes, inconsistencies, and needs for maintenance support. Monitor utilities such as boiler, chilled water and compressed air systems and sub systems such as softened water, sumps, and controls; take readings from meters and recorders. Change filters, clean strainers and perform cleaning processes when required; perform process related maintenance.

OPERATES LIQUID WASTE SYSTEM by running waste water operations to prepare wastes for discharge in compliance with regulations. HANDLES HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS after reading MSDS’s and using the required personnel protective equipment for use in waste water, water systems, cleaning purposes and other requirements witch would involve the need for chemicals.

Working knowledge in other areas of skin care like emulsion based products and hair care products will be added advantage to candidate.

We are in need of 6 first shift "6:00AM - 2:30PM" Compounder Operators, the ideal candidate will have experience with batch complexity comprised of more than just a couple ingredients. Direct experience with pilot batching and Knowledge of GMP standard practices. Under the Production manager supervision the Compounder Operator will perform the following job duties,
- Assemble & disassemble all necessary equipment and tools needed for batch making process according to safety,
- GMP, quality and sanitation standards.
- Load raw ingredients into processing equipment per recipe instructions.
- Perform cleaning and simple maintenance procedures on processing equipment.
- Complete necessary paperwork for production, quality, safety records and maintain inventory levels.
- Knowledge of processing/ batching equipment with the ability to maintain all settings within tolerance (temperatures, pressures, RPMs, rates, etc.).
- Must be able to lift or move 50 lbs.
- A couple years of experience in direct batch mixing
- Experience doing own quality checks (pH, color, viscosity, etc.)

Overview Compounder I - shift to be determined. Compounding of sterile and non-sterile finished products.
This position requires Rinse Water Certification, Aseptic Gowning Certification, Physical, Respirator Certification, Lock-out/Tag-out Certification, Confined Space training, and Cleanroom Certification. Assumes responsibility for the GMP, ISO, environmental health and safety procedure awareness, and compliance within the respective area.
Responsibilities Responsible for: 1. Perform non-sterile and aseptic compounding activities per batch record documentation.
Must be able to compound Level 1 batches proficiently (simple sterile solutions and simple non-sterile solutions). Document information correctly in batch records, CAMS (operator access level), and area logbooks. Review and verify batch record entries. Assist compounding of Level 2 and 3 batches. 2.
Prepare major and miscellaneous compounding equipment for use. Clean equipment as necessary and perform rinse water testing. Assist in the sterilization (non-aseptic) process. 3.
Perform filter integrity testing. Prepare filters per compounding schedule. 4. Perform daily and weekly scale calibration checks.
Weigh materials not already pre-weighed and staged for the batch. 5. Clean, disinfect and maintain the compounding area. 6. Review new and revised procedures in a timely fashion.
Support OpEx initiative. Perform WISE OWLS observations. Maintain GMP hours and EHS training. All other duties as assigned.
