Quality Engineer In Cork Ireland
The Quality Engineer works as part of the Quality team within the Operations department, reporting to the Quality Manager (located in Natick, MA) and working alongside the Cork DC Senior Quality Engineer. The individual will be responsible for monitoring and dispositioning DCMRB items in a timely manner and responding to inquiries about WEEE and surveys from European and Asian customers. They will be responsible for overseeing and executing purges and deviations, as well as assisting in inspection flag activities. They will also support the ISO9001 program and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) in our Cork Distribution Centre.
Responsibilities and Duties
Respond to issues in the Cork Distribution Centre that affect the on-time shipment and customer satisfaction; validate effective implementation of corrective actions.
Issue, oversee, and respond to purges, inspection flags, and material review board (MRB) items; strive towards improving MRB disposition time.
Support the ISO9001 program at the Cork Distribution Centre, including internal auditing.

The Compounder I – 2nd shift will perform functions relating to the processing of Topical products (creams, ointments, lotions, solutions) ensuring product compliance to established current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), customer requirements, and in conjunction with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Description and Responsibilities
To compound batches which meet quality and consistency standards in a cost effective, safe and timely manner. Packing and labeling all batches in preparation for shipment to customer of moving into stock.
Compound formulas accurately by weight and by ingredients and ensure that the best methodology is utilized based upon the particular product or mix. Possess and apply working knowledge of all raw materials before use, ie: mixing/heating to ensure quality and consistency in batches.
Utilize inventory lot rotation (FIFO) for all materials used. Possess and apply working knowledge of all pumps, mixers, scales, fork trucks, high density storage units, meters, and computers. Fill out daily scale logs on all scales to be used prior to start of shift.
Any discrepancies notify supervisor. Follow all manufacturing instructions on formula batch sheet using proper compounding techniques to ensure product quality. Properly label all batches submitted to the lab for evaluation.Responsible for filling all batch containers at the proper weights and in proper containers, and Marking all containers with the necessary LPN labels
Applies working knowledge related to safe evacuating of product from all tanks
Maintain inventory information on filling materials and report to supervisor any shortages. Follow all 5S and Good Manufacturing procedures to maintain good housekeeping and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental laws and regulations.
Proper handling of Allergen products and equipment according to Allergen Control Procedures Responsible for conformance to Food Safety and Food Quality Plans as described in the Kerry Clark SQF Systems manual. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assemble all materials to commence compounding including raw materials, chemical agents, buckets, lids, etc.
Operate mixer according to instructions as related through supervisor, QC and batch ticket. This includes the ability to accurately measure and manually add ingredients on an occasional basis of up to 50-55 pounds.

The Rubber Compounder is the process Engineer or Chemist for the rubber mixing operations. The primary focus of the position will be rubber compounding at our rubber extrusion and mixing facility which supplies rubber compounds for extrusion, calendaring, and other post processing operations. Process development, quality improvement, cost and processing efficiency will be the main goals.
A BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related field is required.
3+ years of Industrial Rubber experience is required.
Knowledge of Rubber Testing and Requirements is also required.
In addition to specific qualifications the ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of: rubber compounding and manufacturing processes and rubber testing and evaluation methods. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 6 Sigma methods is a plus

This position is located at the McCook, Nebraska manufacturing facility and also has responsibilities for the Alliance, Nebraska facility. The McCook plant was built in 1971 and is a major employer in the area. In addition to the production of a variety of low pressure rubber hoses we also produce millions of pounds of rubber compounds. Compounding of sterile and non-sterile finished products. This position requires Rinse Water Certification, Aseptic Gowning Certification, Physical, Respirator Certification, Lock-out/Tag-out Certification, Confined Space training, and Cleanroom Certification. Assumes responsibility for the GMP, ISO, environmental health and safety procedure awareness, and compliance within the respective area.
