- Cross-functional design reviews are a series of in-depth and disciplined sessions that bring broad cross-functional experience to bear on designs/or process approaches and details. Able to apply the cross-functional design review procedure with limited guidance.
Dimensional Variation Analysis - Developing understanding of inputs and outputs of a Dimensional Variation Analysis (DVA), knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning/ relationships, comparison to Monte-Carlo simulation and able to interpret the DVA results and use them to iteratively optimize the design.
Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing - Understanding basic principles of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) to include: correctly interpret dimensioning/ Tolerancing methods, understanding of the terms, rules, symbols, and concepts of GD&T as prescribed in the ASME Y14.5M-1994.
- Product structure involves an understanding of the rationale around the identification of product items and the methodology for structuring this information into saleable, manufacturable and serviceable product. Users are expected to demonstrate proficiency in understanding and applying product structure rules such as item compatibilities, dependencies and relationships.
Design For Manufacturing And Assembly - Understands the underlying principles, techniques and procedures design for manufacturing and assembly appropriately as part of work. Performs/could perform design for manufacturing and assembly effectively.
Skills and Experience Required: Working as part of the Compressor and Turbine Sub-System team this role is to perform the design, development and verification of major aerodynamic components within the turbocharger. Responsibilities for the role will include:
Working with the global Compressor and Turbine Sub-System teams in India, China and the UK
Design and develop turbocharger components for internal customers
Define and load test work to validate turbocharger components
Supporting design and analysis teams with technical queries
Provide product support to platform and customer teams
Input to Engineering Standard Work and other continuous improvement projects
Work with suppliers to ensure components are designed for manufacture
Education, Licenses, Certifications Bachelor of science, or equivalent degree in engineering required.

This unique position requires that the candidate owns and provides solutions for each test station development, with each particular station being its own separate entity (it may or may not be related to prior work we have performed). Other creative solutions Since some test stations will be classified, the person will either have, or possess the ability to obtain a secret level Department of Defense (DoD) Security clearance. For each test station to be developed and/or upgraded, the is tasked must find the best solution, minimizing risk, complying with specified cost and schedule, and building and orchestrating the team/support necessary to produce a robust and completely documented test station. At any given time, there could be zero to many (five or more) stations in varying phases of development (research, bid, procurement, building, test, qualification, etc.). The end use for each test station will be as varied as our business areas.
Each test station will comprise electronic circuit card assemblies, COTS test equipment, components, software (LabView), and cables. The successful candidate needs to also be a very strong technical leader, and creative thinker, with a penchant to build stations compliant with all specified requirements, within the allotted cost and schedule. A history of test station development, and leading test station development across a diversified team of engineers, suppliers, quality, manufacturing, etc., in all programmatic phases, is required.
For each test station development, the person will either own, or delegate the following activities: 1. Control Account Manager (CAM) with Earned Value Management in accordance with (ANSI/EIA-748) 2.
Performing a combined role of technical engineering team leadership and Earned Value Management (technical, cost, and schedule integration/analysis/reporting) 3.
Test station HW and SW development 4.
Managing risk and opportunity 5. Conforming to Defense First Article and Qualification testing It is highly desirable if the person is expert with Control Account Management particularly for defense contractors.
Some of these CAM responsibilities/delegations include schedule planning and monthly measuring each test station development. Scope Chief Engineer provides oversight of the building systems operations of Canyon Ranch and supervision of the HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical staff of the Engineering department. Plan, manage, train, and coordinate technician's activities
Assist and advise in planning of future equipment installations, requirements, and budgetary recommendations
Supervise maintenance of computer software, hardware, and local area network applications on systems throughout the station
Establish the procedures to insure that all IT equipment is operational and secure
Keep software versions up to date. Insures software license compliance. Follows all corporate directives for IT security
Supervise preventive maintenance and/or troubleshooting on almost any electronic device or support electronics whether in-house or installed at transmitters; including but not limited to: cameras, video equipment and/or audio switching equipment, processing and monitoring equipment, microwave transmitters and receivers, satellite receivers, and computing equipment
Supervise and/or perform transmitter maintenance of all transmitters, Translators, and Microwave Sites
Respond to trouble calls with broadcast or computer equipment (sometimes after regular hours and weekends)
Works closely with General Manager and department managers to ensure station objectives and expectations are being met.
Managerial tasks, such as, but not limited to, maintaining monthly logs, providing status reports on station project(s), making schedules, planning budgets, working with tenants, and evaluating employees.

A minimum of 5 years experience in broadcast television

A college degree, SBE certification, and A+ certification are highly desired
