This position requires one who is multi-task oriented and a team player. 1) Is responsible for weighing and labeling ingredients such as salt and phosphate. 2) Must know and be able to adhere to the proper order for mixing ingredients. 3) Follows procedures for each batch of cure thoroughly. 4) Properly completes all cure paperwork prior to the shipment 5) Ensures the cure passes QA refractometer range prior to shipment. 6) Cooperates with management personnel. 7) Is able to perform all jobs within the department. 8) Must be able to job-share as needed. 9) Must possess good communication skills. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

This position requires experience in operating tool room equipment. Must be able to work from sketches and blueprints. Willing to work with engineers and operators to perform tooling modifications.
II. Job Duties and
· Operates conventional tool room machineries like lathes, surface grinders, milling and EDM Sinker Machines and other tool room equipment.
· Create preliminary design sketches and detailed manufacturing drawings of Carbide Dies and Punches for use in the cold head process.
· Fabricate tooling from sketches and detailed manufacturing drawing.
· Understands properties of tool material for use in the cold head process.
· Understands geometric formulas and standard tool engineering practices.
· Resolves problems related to tool and apply cost effective solution.
· Maintains tool room equipment. Coordinate with Maintenance supervisor and/or outside maintenance services in the maintenance and repair of equipment.
· Maintain a safe work environment and follow company safety rules and policies.
Skills and/or Experience Needed:
- Minimum 5 years of design and manufacturing of Cold Head tooling experience.
· Must communicate effectively, both written and verbal, to employees at all levels.
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual.
· Must be able to comprehend and follow instructions.
· Must be able to understand departmental documentation and able to process accurately.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Follows safety rules and regulations.
• Verifies that chemicals, ingredients contained in drums or bags are approved for use on hand prior to starting batches.
• Pre-weighs specified amounts of chemical ingredients and transports items to the designated mixing area.
• Adds ingredients in a specified sequence into mixing vessels using floor pumps, hoses, or by hand.
• Operates mixing vessels to compound ingredients together involving mixing, heating, and cooling operations.
• Monitors the compounding of the product batch throughout the specified steps of the production cycle.
• Checks product batches for temperature as required on the batch record.
• Documents steps in the compounding process on batch records.
• Signs and dates all areas of batch records according to Good Documentation Practices (MWI-199).
• Brings samples to Quality Control for approval. Enters samples into GF-215 computer log.
• Cleans and sanitizes kettles, tanks, utensils, hoses, and all ancillary equipment after.
• Keeps mixers and equipment in good working condition.
• Maintains clean work area.
• Cooperates with Quality Control or other managers in identifying and correcting any batch quality issues.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
May mix cement or epoxy grouts using concrete mixing machine or hoe.
Signals the concrete deliverer to position truck to facilitate pouring.
May build or reinforce forms or bracing prior to pours.
Loads, transports and unloads tools, equipment and supplies.
Spreads concrete to specified depth and workable consistency, using a float to bring water to surface and produce soft topping.
Levels, smoothes and shapes surfaces of freshly poured concrete, using straight edge and float or power screed.
Finishes concrete surfaces using power trowel or wets and rubs concrete with abrasive stone to specified finish.
Remove rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces, power grinder or chisel and hammer and patches holes with fresh concrete or epoxy compound.
Spray cement mortar or concrete to cover exposed earth, masonry, and steel surfaces and forcing grout into drilled holes or spaces between foundations.
Molds expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers and straight edge.
May direct sub-grade work and setting of forms.
