REQUIRED SKILLS / COMPETENCIES:
An ideal candidate will have a strong passion and enthusiasm for a 3D modeling career.
Demonstrated proficiency in Alias, Rhino, or Solidworks is preferred, as is the ability to go beyond the limitations of software tools and manually manipulate or refine advanced surfaces.

Senior Sculptor (Clay Studio)
A Sr. Sculptor is responsible for roughing in clay geometry by packing clay, creating templates and creating initial surfaces utilizing clay modeling tools and interpreting sketches and renderings.
They are also responsible for building clay and hard model armatures to CAD and sketch specs. They will then take the models to a presentation level of A surface refinement either alone or by leading a team of Associate Sculptors and Sculptors to a high level of accuracy while coordinating the project with the Lead Industrial Designer and Management. The process will be self directed with a high level of execution, speed and efficiency.
They will also be responsible for creating cast components utilizing a variety of casting processes such as plaster and fiberglass. This person must be adaptable to change and refinement in programs.
A Sculptor will also be responsible for organizing and providing housekeeping duties to the clay studio, shop area and display room.

This class is the second level in a nine-level Maintenance and Operations Series devoted to providing repair, maintenance and equipment operation for an assigned city maintenance or operational function. Incumbents provide semi-skilled or skilled general maintenance based on assignment to any City department or maintenance function.
