Manages ready mix plant operations. Maintains equipment and materiel to produce concrete and ensures delivery of requested products to customers. Responsible for the safety of plant and drivers. Ensures the plant performs at targeted capacity at all times
Responsible for overall housekeeping including the plant, batch office, and driver and equipment appearance
Minimum Education and Experience

Possess a current driver's license (preferably a C.D.L.)

Purpose of Position:
Leads the environmental and process group in the laboratory under the direction of the engineering and lab services manager. Supervises and works closely with chemists and laboratory and field technicians to ensure all scheduled and emergency sampling and analyses are performed and data and reports are submitted in a timely manner.
Oversees chemistry-related projects and works closely with operational supervisors, engineers and vendors. Assists and prepares analytical reports and descriptive statistical summaries, including graphical and tabular presentation of analytical results to closely monitor the regulatory permits and process requirements for each plant. Follows strict quality control procedures established through the QA/QC supervisor and adheres to California Environmental Protection Agency's and United States Environmental Protection Agency's analytical procedures.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions:
Adhere to and support all safety and environmental rules, policies and procedures. (10%)
Lead, coordinate and participate in analytical sampling and analysis activities ensuring compliance with EPA, CAL-EPA methods of analysis and Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (ELAP) requirements. (15%)
Supervise chemists, laboratory and field technicians to ensure steady development, employee well-being, counseling and motivation. Work closely with the team to perform all analytical analyses required and maintain daily laboratory operations. (15%)
Monitor closely all the environmental analyses conducted in the laboratory to ensure compliance with all the permits. Maintain strict sampling and analysis schedules for all the plants and DVC. Work closely with Environmental Services Department to assure all the reports required to support regulatory permit requirements are submitted in a timely manner. (10%)
Monitor and evaluate plant chemistry processes through the effective use of sampling and analytical methods. Note trends and irregularities. Regular interaction with operational personnel to ensure well organized sampling, analysis and data submission. (10%)
Monitor and control public and potable water systems to ensure proper functions and compliance with local, state and federal water quality standards and regulations. (5%)
Prepare analytical, process chemistry and environmental compliance reports for various departments. Conduct advanced computer-based work in Excel, Word and Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) software packages. Tasks will include accurate data entry, high level graphing, descriptive statistical manipulations and professional presentation of analytical data. (10%)
Closely interact with the Engineering and Lab Services manager and QA/QC and Instrumentation supervisor in assuring timely and accurate laboratory results and quality control. (5%)
Establish and document analytical methods and safety procedures. Provide analytical methods training to laboratory and operations staff. (5%)
Conduct ordering, tracking and ensure timely deliveries of laboratory gases, consumables and supplies. Participate in developing accurate budgets based on departmental plans; control expenditures within budgeted levels to support those plans. (5%)
Provide technical input to assist in development of project planning. Lead, coordinate and participate in research projects with consultants and vendors. (5%)

Must have a bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related science from an accredited college or university.
Six years of experience in environmental/process laboratories conducting hands-on analysis and operational knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, including one year in a senior technical/leadership role.

JOB SUMMARY / GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining a smooth operation of the Transportation Department and help provide 24 hours coverage. Provide general supervision of all Transportation operations and functional processes within the department. POSITION SUMMARY: This is an Operations position responsible for supervising the activities associated with Delivery.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to, management and direction to delivery staff, compliance with government regulations and safety and security of the delivery department. RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises the daily work and safety of Delivery Associates, including adherence to standard operating procedures, adherence to planned routes, and providing safe and efficient customer service. Ensures Delivery Associate compliance with local, state and federal regulatory agencies (i.e.

Supervises the proper selection utilization of Company assets in support of the Delivery department. Coordinates required repairs with proper departments as necessary. Reviews delivery functions and productivity reporting.
Suggests efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures and assist with implementation of delivery changes. Interprets trains and consistently enforces company policies, protocols and procedures including but not limited to food safety, DOT, record keeping, etc. Communicates with Sales Management and Marketing Associates to collaboratively resolve any customer or delivery opportunities or issues.
Visits customer locations and meets with customers to address issues and assess delivery difficulty. Maintains associate relations through regular department or pre- shift meetings; maintains on-going interaction; keeps open communication channels with associates by answering questions and explaining policies and procedures; monitors associate morale; and submits and respond to ideas to improve associate engagement and enablement. Interprets trains and consistently enforces Company policies and procedures.
Coordinates efforts with Safety department to aid in training, conducting associate observations, up-dating preferred work methods, conducting accident investigations to determine root causes, and routine safety inspections. Makes recommendations for disciplinary action and/or behavior modification where required. This posting will be used to fill full-time, Safety Sensitive positions in the Bureau of Utilities in the Department of Public Works.
This is complex technical and supervisory work in the field of construction management, construction inspection, and quality assurance on public works and development projects.
NATURE AND VARIETY OF WORK
Work involves responsibility for managing service contracts, supervising and participating in the inspection of a variety of construction work in the County. Work includes inspecting complex construction projects, reviewing plans, approving field changes, and conducting final inspections.
Supervision is exercised over subordinate inspectors. Work requires the use of technical judgment and discretion within established codes, guidelines, and procedures, and is reviewed by a superior through conferences, reports, and results obtained.
Examples of Duties and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:(Note: The duties and responsibilities enumerated in this class specification are for the purpose of determining a common set of minimum qualifications and salary for all positions in this class. 2.)Possession of four (4) or more years' experience working with large diameter (12 inch or greater) water and sewer main installation by open-cut installation methods and horizontal directional drilling methods.
3.)Possession of SHA Traffic Control Supervisor Certification, ACI concrete field testing certification, NICET Level I certification for materials, asphalt, concrete, soils and highway construction, certification in training courses from OSHA, American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) certification or American Concrete Institute (ACI) certification or a National Institute in Engineering Technologies (NICET) certification or American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) certification.
SUMMARY: The Program Supervisor will provide day-to-day oversight of assigned areas including Residential Services, Supported Living Services (SLS), Children's Extensive Services (CES), and Community Support Services (day program). Responsibilities include staff and client supervision, program development, coordination and delivery of program services for clients in a variety of day habilitation and community-based settings.
This position is also responsible for maintaining program files and assisting in achieving program goals as needed to maintain program accreditation. This position is responsible for the administration of necessary physical and emotional care to promote growth and development of clients in service in a person-centered environment. The Program Supervisor must exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of job duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES Other duties may be assigned.
1.Oversee day-to-day operations of programs to include but not limited to, providing appropriate training, scheduling, and supervision for staff and clients and ensuring that appropriate program staff performs teaching and supervision of clients at assigned sites and community-based settings.
2.Supervise staff by using consistent application of personnel policies and procedures.
