ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Good machine set-up procedures and practices including all necessary adjustments and operational balances to achieve maximum quality and productivity consistent with safety and minimum spoilage
•Meets quality and quantity of all production
•Understanding of all current Q.C. standards and procedures
•Perform required duties needed without direct continual supervision, promptly report product deficiencies to Q.C. and production supervisor
•Making timely reports on equipment problems, quality and spoilage variances and quantities produced
•Maintain a high level of housekeeping in the assigned areas in accordance with AIB standards
•Operate industrial equipment and obtain certification within 10 days from date of hire
•Learn and operate extruders within defined specifications and without assistance
•Recognize heating/cooling problems with the machines and report to the Supervisor
•Start up and shut down each extruder unassisted
•Assist in "stringing up" on each of the extruders
•Job/Color changes with minimal amount of scrap
•Learn and perform "adjustments" to the die
•Monitor feed and mixing systems for proper operation
•Learn correct formulas and rates for each product type
•Match and distinguish colors from samples
•Produce good tight rolls
•Produce each roll to correct width
•Learn to "fire the screen" properly
•Put rolls away in roll storage without damage
•Learn and understand silo readings and the material held in each silo
•Cut, gauge, weigh, and document "samples" properly and accurately

The Town of Rowley is seeking a full-time Water Treatment Operator / Assistant Chief Operator to work for the Rowley Water Department.
This position is responsible for technical and supervisory work in the operation and maintenance of the Town’s water treatment plant, groundwater pump stations, and water storage tanks. Works under the general supervision of the Chief Water Plant Operator and the Water Superintendent.
Minimum qualifications include High School graduate. Bachelor’s degree with courses in biology, chemistry or environmental science is preferred.
