The 3rd Shift Cooker Operator in our rendering department is an important role in the daily operations of our facilities. This job is important because it is vital to our process to process product and waste from various divisions around our facilities into rendered products.
The 3rd Shift Rendering Operator must be trained in lock out tag out for safety reasons. To perform this job machinery must be locked out so the employee can safely check various components of the equipment. In order to perform this job, employees must maintain equipment that cooks product into tallow. The process must be documented multiple times a day and the record will be kept manually or digitally. There may be some data that is not collected at all facilities based on business unit or even plant specific information required.
While performing the duties of a 3rd shift Rendering Operator, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions with slippery surfaces at varied heights; moving mechanical parts; fast paced, high noise disciple, warm/cool environment. Positions require standing or walking the entire shift, the use of stairs, and the use of PPE which is required in all areas of the facility.

Operate the cooker, making necessary changes, maintaining all necessary records, included but not limited to loading, continual operation and unloading, while understanding and maintaining the necessary functions of the augers, scales, slurry injector, need to vent steam, and cook cycle times to ensure product flow to surge bin.
Properly utilize the Programmable Logic Controller, loading the recipe, and both manual and auto cooker operations, making necessary changes if needed.
Maintain a sanitary work area adhering to all OSHA standards and SensoryEffects® Standard Operating Procedures including but not limited to in process, end of shift, end of a run, quarterly and as otherwise directed.
Always maintaining a high level of awareness for all safety measures including OSHA regulations and procedures set forth by SensoryEffects® management, including proper use of Lock out/Tag out procedures.

The Strategic Sourcing Director – Commercial is responsible for a team of Sourcing associates with the full responsibility for $2.5B in ingredients and packaging material for the North America Confectionery business. - Preferred Major: Food Science or Food Engineering at the junior level or higher.
- GPA 3.0 or higher
A basic understanding in science (biology, chemistry or food technology/engineering) to apply skills to support bench top / lab and manufacturing testing under supervision of professional.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and work both independently and in multidisciplinary groups/teams with a high level of motivation
Good organizational and interpersonal skills along with creativity, flexibility, and initiative
A desire to work hands-on in the laboratory, pilot plant, and manufacturing environments with equipment and products
Eligibility to work in the United States for any employer
A valid Drivers' License, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel to plant locations or other assignments as required
Availability to work on a flexible schedule from time to time including off-shifts and weekends
Ability to lift up to fifty pounds
Proficiency with common Windows based computer software programs, including Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access.
Some experience or familiarity with AutoCAD, MathCAD, SAP, and programming software is desirable.
