Educational Consultant (Math) - Part Time - Eugene, OR
Curriculum Associates is seeking a part-time professional development Educational Consultant (Math) with a background in teaching mathematics, coaching teachers, delivering professional development and support, analyzing data, and working with school leaders. Working closely with the Director of Professional Development, sales team, and other Curriculum Associates professionals, the Educational Consultant (Math) will be responsible for facilitating high-quality professional development, training, and support, data analysis, and communicating consultatively with school teachers and leaders.
Hours: Part-time consultants are scheduled on an as-needed basis, paid hourly. Schedule is highly dependent on customer demand, with peak season occurring end of July through October. Must be available for internal training conferences (the last week in April or the first week in June, the fourth week in May, and the third week of July).

The impact you'll have:
Become an expert on the company's online diagnostic and instruction program and Common Core product, focusing on Mathematics
Help coordinate on-site product training and professional development courses to teachers and school administrators. Adjust professional development workshops within specified parameters to fit the needs of the participants.
Deliver professional development courses to teachers, coaches and leaders on how to effectively implement Ready and i-Ready to impact classroom learning
Provide on-site targeted support to teachers, coaches and leaders. This may range from providing lesson planning and pacing support, to helping educators analyze data and apply it to instruction, to working with leaders to identify evidence of implementation successes and challenges
Engage in internal cycle of professional improvement and development (including being observed, receiving feedback, and being coached)
Track and submit detailed training notes
Complete all assignments in a timely manner
Present a professional image at all times to customers and prospects
What we're looking for:
Successful candidates will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a record of achievement:
Bachelor's degree and at least 5+ years of experience in teaching mathematics, coaching teachers of mathematics, and providing mathematics professional development. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching mathematics at the secondary (6-12) level and/or with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in mathematics or mathematics education.
Strong working knowledge of the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics for Grades K-8 (or comparable state standards), including both the content standards and the practice standards. Understanding of the ELA Standards for K-8 also preferred.
Fluency with using digital tools including online assessments, and a high level of comfort discussing and applying data with teachers and leaders.
Understand principles of adult learning and how to apply them to professional development
Excellent facilitation skills, ensuring participants meet learning objectives
Excellent computer and internet skills including knowledge of Office programs (Outlook, Word, PPT, etc.); knowledge of online meeting programs (e.g. GoToMeeting/WebEx) a plus
Willingness to travel

SUNY Empire State College, Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) seeks an Educational Technologist (State title: Instructional Support Associate) to support faculty, staff, and students in use of technology to enhance college-wide learning. This position is based at either our Old Westbury or Hauppauge locations on Long Island. The college serves adult learners across a variety of learning modes including online and blended learning, competency-based learning, and other innovative modalities.
This position supports and collaborates with faculty and staff, including instructional designers in the process of designing, delivering, and improving online instruction through the integration of pedagogically-sound models and educational and emerging technologies and tools, giving special attention to compliance with accessibility and universal design principles.
Assess faculty development needs as related to educational technology and suggest individualized approaches
Provide pedagogical consultation to faculty, staff, and students using technology for teaching and learning
Support the strategic growth and advancement of all modalities, including online, blended, competency-based, and other innovative delivery modes
Collaborate with instructional designers and faculty for the development and revision of online and blended courses
In conjunction with ET team, develop outreach strategy to encourage faculty across the college to utilize educational technology in their teaching and mentoring
Design and conduct presentations, workshops, discussions, and other meetings as appropriate in the areas of educational and emerging technologies; design and deliver workshops and training and pedagogically sound using of a variety of ITS-supported online tools and media services

Oversees and monitors the agencys election reimbursement system for uniform and consistent statewide distribution of funds to the counties for eligible state-funded election expenses and fiscal accountability. Monitors election laws and legislation, prepares a proposal of legislative changes to election laws for Board approval, and attends applicable legislative committee meetings. Oversees and monitors resolution of allegations of election misconduct and violations of federal and state election and voter registration laws and makes recommendations on Board action.
Responds to inquiries from executive and legislative personnel, elected officials, county election administrators, service providers, and the general public on office administration and election administration.
