Waterloo, IA Duration: 24 months Description Description: Provides entry level sourcing, Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP), Enterprise Order Fulfillment Process (EOFP) support to include development and execution/enforcement of strategies and contracts for commodities of lower value and less complexity. Assists with cost models, make vs. buy studies, spend analysis, invoice issue resolution and other data analyses.
Works with Strategic Sourcing to address chronic supplier performance issues and/or validation of suppliers during early supplier selection process as part of Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP). Makes use of Achieving Excellence process to manage the supplier's performance. The work requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgment but is reviewed periodically or upon completion. Duties: Executes Order Fulfillment Process (OFP) with cost reduction activities, analyzing quotations, and making supplier selection based on criteria such as quality, cost, process capability, lead time and supplier stability.
Participates in implementation of resourcing activities and make versus buy decisions. Collects cost data and prepares limited supplier cost/industry analyses. Supports the Engineering Change Management (ECM) process so design changes and product improvements are implemented in a timely and cost effective manner.
Develops and executes inventory plans to achieve inventory/asset management and material flow goals; resolves shipping, receiving, invoicing and payment problems to ensure prompt and accurate payments to suppliers. Drives continuous improvement in terms of performance and lowest total cost with the Supply Base utilizing Achieving Excellence process and criteria. Defines, resolves, and provides permanent solutions to supplier performance issues with the assistance of other functional representatives such as quality, product engineering, etc., while managing the day-to-day supplier relationship issues, thereby assuring proper communication occurs.
Expedites parts as necessary. RETURNABLE CONTAINER AND SHIPPING COORDINATOR MAJOR PURPOSE: Supports (returnable) container services e.g. container logistic processes and planning to ensure high quality and cost advantage.
Coordinates daily shipping and receiving activities for UPS and other small shipments with LTL carriers. Coordinating with different carriers to assure proper delivery of products. Processes returned goods into factory inventory.
MAJOR DUTIES: Description of the major duties performed in this job. Provides analyses, interpretation and documentation of container processes and information.
Identifies gaps and recommends solutions for continuous improvement. Improves part delivery methods and documentation. Recommends process changes and/or improvements to ensure higher safety, better quality, Supports daily returnable container activities, selects providers and negotiates contracts on the repair, cleaning, etc. of containers.
Supports projects e.g. about the current production and new product part containerization and handling or the solution of complex container problems. Supervises and/or gives work direction to shipping department personnel related to packaging, loading of products, receipt and stocking of materials. Arranges and contacts carriers for product pick-up and delivery to include changes in transportation methods with consideration to service and cost.
Maintains/creates and/or provides data for various shipping reports, inventory locations, etc. Creates processes and/or reviews shipping documents. Ensures that container operations are fully aligned with company activities in liaison with other client units.
Manages and Supports updates in various systems by shipping personnel. Technical Skills &
Specialized skills, knowledge and abilities needed to perform the essential functions of the job.

Completes major container, chassis and reefer modifications
Repairs equipment by dismantling, straightening (cold or with heat), replacing reshaping, reassembling and painting or recoating parts

Handle, repairs, and replaces tire and wheel components
Applies decals/stenciling on equipment as necessary
Operate appropriate powered industrial equipment as required
