JOB OBJECTIVE: To assist with the packaging of perishable dairy products and ensure the execution of standards and operating procedures to maximize profitability and achievement of all production goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Must package requested quantities of product yogurt, milk, butter, ice cream, etc., as specified by daily production planning. Must ensure that the quality of the product meets or exceeds standards.
Must assist on product and line change-overs. Must assist with maintaining areas of responsibility neat and clean. Must ensure to minimize product loss.
Must complete production reports as required. If running bottle washer – must ensure recommended chemical titration levels are maintained. Must safely operate forklifts and electric and manual pallet jacks.
Must comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and any/all established processes , whether established by their manager, by the company or by law. Must comply with all health, safety, security and emergency requirements that are communicated to you, whether established by their manager, by the company or by law.Must work in a safe manner and communicate any safety hazard to a member of management.
Must comply with all Company policies communicated to you through your Employee Manual, trainings, team huddles, notice boards or other postings, or by a member of management.
Must participate in weekly team meetings, biweekly huddles, safety meetings and other Company meetings as requested. Must ensure work is produced in the most sustainable manner. Must maintain excellent attendance.
Must have scheduling flexibility to work different shifts when required and to work weekends to support operation of a 24/7 facility. Other duties as requested
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in a food production/processing facility, preferred
Knowledge and Skill Requirements. Comprehension of basic math calculations in order to verify product counts
Prefer those who can communicate verbally in English and Spanish with cross-functional team members, supervisors and other team members
Prefer those familiar with or that have an aptitude for basic computer and inventory control programs. Ability to calmly respond to equipment or other problems and find solutions
Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT: Ability to work in a manufacturing/warehouse environment. Extended periods of standing, squatting, walking, climbing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and stooping, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, hands, and fingers. – Repetitive at times.
Full organoleptic (sight, smell, taste) as well as audio and vocal senses are necessary to evaluate and make sound decisions on product quality and production processes. The ability to climb and balance is essential.
Ability to withstand temperatures ranging from -10° to 100° Fahrenheit. Ability to work in confined spaces. Ability to work in cold, wet, humid environments.
Ability to work in high allergen environments.
Ability to withstand noise produced by manufacturing and warehouse machinery up to 90 decibels. Ability to lift, hold and/or carry 50 pounds, unassisted. Ability to work on a computer and look at a computer screen for short periods of time
Flexibility to work different shifts when required, to be on call after hours, and to work weekends as required for business needs

Remove and separate soiled laundry from chutes or housekeeping carts. Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery in accordance with company standards.
Apply correct treatment to stained items based on fabric and stain type. Maintain accurate records of items washed, number of loads, and poundage of dry cleaning and laundry. Transport cart of washed articles to dryers and place in dryers according to load size.
Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain trap after each load. Monitor levels in chemical containers to ensure chemicals are being dispensed, and notify supervisor/manager of potential pump problem.

The Bio-X program at the Clark Center is seeking a 50% FTE Laboratory Glassware Washer for the centralized glassware facility. The work schedule is 8am-noon, Monday-Friday. This position is part of the Stanford University Collective Bargaining Unit.
The major function of this classification is to wash laboratory glassware, including glassware contaminated by infectious or radioactive agents. In addition, incidental functions of Laboratory Assistants may be performed up to 25 percent of the working time. Work is completed under close supervision
Wash laboratory glassware using a variety of methods: handwashing, machine
washing, acid cleaning, boiling, autoclaving, etc. Perform miscellaneous laboratory duties such as cleaning of apparatus and equipment, general cleanup of laboratory, sterilizing of media, reagents, instruments, etc.
Pick-up and delivery of glassware for a specific group of laboratories daily
Ensure labeling of each item and maintain accurate records
