Wastewater Operator II - Open Continuous
This recruitment will remain open for six (6) months.

This is full performance level work in the operation and routine maintenance of a large, activated sludge, wastewater treatment plant. Wastewater Operators II maintain established water quality standards through the effective operation of all equipment involved in the treatment process including operating, monitoring and controlling a vast network of pumps, conveyers, air and chemical systems; making operational decisions including pumping rates and dosage adjustments, while working in one of five work units, which provide 24-hour coverage every day. The Wastewater Operator II maintains accurate records, performs standard laboratory tests and identifies equipment failures and maintenance needs.

The following minimum qualifications are required for this position:
Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes including the operation of process control equipment, trouble shooting techniques, and laboratory procedures.
Ability to maintain operational processes and procedures independently.
Skill in the safe use of tools, power equipment, and specialized process related equipment.
Skill in providing lead direction to staff, including assisting and reviewing work.
Applicants also must possess:
A valid state's driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Ability to obtain medical certification of respirator readiness and the absence of any physical characteristic that prevents rapid attainment of a tight seal between face and self-contained breathing apparatus requiring Wastewater Operators II to be clean-shaven.

General Summary: Responsible for the operations of different types of manufacturing equipment including maintaining and adjusting machines during operations and downtime cleaning activities.
Support and abide by the company's safety program and all safety initiatives, policies and procedures.
Report all injuries to the Supervisor immediately
Ensure that work procedures are being followed in a consistent manner (Safety, Quality, GMP, MAV, HACCP)
Know and Understand lock out/tag procedures in the department

SUMMARY OF POSITION: A continuous line operator will have primary responsibility in one of three areas, welding/coating, testmark/colorband, or traying/reeling, but will need to have a working knowledge of all three areas. The operators are to prepare and complete all orders for prompt delivery to the next station.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Checks production traveler to make sure previous step has been done and proper documentation has been done before sending on to the next station.
Sets up work station and makes all checks as required in specification for your assigned workstation.
