Role and Responsibilities:
Operates machines to test functioning of parts or whole units
Runs software programs on repaired machines to test machine functionality
Tests components or circuits of faulty equipment to locate defects, using special diagnostic software programs
Tests repaired systems to ensure that they are in working order
Compares findings with the reported problem failures found
Forwards units on to quality group for QA inspection
Returns unit back to the technician for repair if unit fails test
May install and configure repaired equipment
Other tasks as assigned by manager
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Computer training diploma preferred
1 year of experience assembling /disassembling, testing, trouble shooting and repairing computer or electronic components preferred
Must be able to speak, read and write English
Knowledge of computer hardware
Must be able to multi task
Must be familiar with Windows operating system and MS Office

The Electrical & Control Panel Builder will layout, wire and build monitoring weather and control panels using electrical schematics.
Layout panels/enclosures following wiring diagrams and schematics
Mounting of components into enclosures
Wiring control panels per specifications
Assist purchasing with material ordering
Building and/or testing Control Panels
Understanding Bills of Materials and Schematics
Computer knowledge, Word, Excel, etc.
Sizing control and power transformers
Sizing conductors, fuses, motor starters, & overloads for motor applications
Wiring devices such as sensors and actuators to control panels
Raceway installation and wire pulling

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE:
Perform somewhat diversified duties involving proper layout, bench assembly of control panels, checking circuits, electrical/electronic control operations and related test floor final wiring installation or connections of completed panel assemblies.
Work from work orders, schematics, drawings, specifications, bills of material and other verbal or written information. Use as required in performance of duties, continuity checker, multi-meter, hi-pot, other checking equipment; common hand tools such as, scale, dividers, wire cutters, crimpers, soldering iron, hydra punch set; and equipment and lift truck.
Mount and wire in prescribed manner a variety of components; such as, starters, circuit breakers, relays, programmable control units, push buttons, switches, indicator lights, meters, gauges, sensors and alarm or other related control devices as required. Make ordinary continuity, wiring/control operation, voltage or h-pot checks in proper manner.
Make final test area motor drive, control panel or other similar power connections in prescribed manner prior to test of complete unit by others. Exercise care in multi-voltage, 220/440 or other requirements and ensure proper grounding of unit.
Diagnose, trouble-shoot control devices/circuitry problems. Replace defective, inoperative units; correct wiring to ensure proper control panel operations as required or directed due to re-engineering or design/circuitry changes. Rewire auto start engine units.
