Offbears raw materials and sorts according to rip size. Inspects for quality and communicates with ripsaw operator and others upon recognizing a quality concern or problem.
Performs defecting duties, including sorting and chopping materials as necessary, to maximize rip and moulder yields. Maintains process flow by routing products to next station.
Interprets customer specs and stacks according to length. Wraps and bands according to customer specs.

JOB DUTIES: Lifts flooring stock from feed belt and feeds continuous stream of flooring stock pieces onto conveyor by inserting groove end into the tongue of previously placed piece on conveyor. Identifies pieces of flooring with obvious defects such as splits, knots, crooks, bows, breaks and manufactured defects.
Removes defective pieces from production and places them into defect cart. Removes jammed or improperly fed pieces utilizing hammer, screwdriver, crowbar, or air hammer. May assist machine operator in setting up machine and in cleaning work area, machines, and equipment.
Collects and conveys scrap wood and dust from machine areas to disposal location. Perform other duties as assigned. 3rd Shift: 9:00 p.m. - 5:30 a.m.
Supervisor Road Feeder Services
Serves the Company by providing ground transportation vendors for common carriage freight and COMAT movement to and from our Gateways. Also, assists in maintaining scheduled ground transportation networks for Marketing and Sales to assist in securing beyond gateway customers.
Monitor and manage existing Road feeder network for cost effectiveness and service.
Work with Road feeder vendors to ensure pre-determined service levels are maintained.
Review with local station management and staff to ensure all Polar beyond trucking needs are being met
Check and approve all trucking vendor invoicing for accuracy prior to submission for payment.
Liaise between trucking companies and Customers and local Polar staff to order and monitor Truck services and ensure service commitments are met.
Assist Import customers with shipment status information
Track offline pallets that are with Freight Forwarders, Truckers and repair vendors.
Travel as required
Assist with all aspects of ULD flow when the ULD Manager is not available
Must have a working knowledge of Rules, Regulations and restrictions regarding road carriage of freight in all applicable regions.
Must be comfortable and familiar with using a computer and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

The Product Feeder position exists to feed raw materials to the production line in order to maintain continual operation of the production line. Under the general supervision of the Production Manager, this individual must be able to remain fully attentive of their work surroundings while working at a steady pace to supply a continually moving, high speed production line. Performs rework of finished goods or raw materials.
Assists in clean up of production equipment during product change over.

Monitors handling unit tags by writing the process order on the handling unit tag, removing the handling unit tag from the pallet and placing in the current bin. When pallet board is completely used, the handling unit tag is placed in the consumed bin.
Completes Sanitation Inspection sheet with Quality Control Technician on a daily basis.
Performs daily housekeeping duties in the work area and occasional housekeeping duties in the plant or warehouse areas including sweeping, vacuuming, collecting trash, washing walls and equipment.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a consistent daily basis
Must have the ability to read, write and perform simple math calculations in order to accurately measure amounts of ingredients.

Maintaining a clean work environment using the recycle stream
Material Feeders will have the ability and willingness to learn to operate additional bottling and production equipment as needed
Hand packing filled bottles into cases
Feeding empty cases into the packer on glass
Perform duties for inspection of product on the line, such as label placement, cap color, bottle quality, broken caps etc.
