Assists Press Operator with press make ready and perform manual and machine operator tasks in the set-up, maintenance, and operation of the printing press.
Must be able to install plates and blankets on press cylinders, adjust press machine parts, such as a feeder, delivery mechanisms, suction grippers, guides, feed wheels, jogging devices, tapes, and cams, using hand tools.
Assist in removing and replacing worn rollers and adjusting pressure between rollers of press, using hand tools.

Performs/assists with repairs to the conveyor ensuring the system is maintained in operating condition at all times. Provides information, data, and recommendations regarding conveyor operations in order to anticipate, if not eliminate, potential for problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform all necessary production work by reading and interpreting work orders and drawings to:
Understand how to cut regular and step cut rolls per cut sheet provided.
Operate large slitters to accurately slit belts to the desired width and length holding proper tolerances.
Setup and operate rotary slitters to cut narrower width belts.
Hand slit belts as needed.
Square ends of belt and cut belts to proper length for further processing.
Understand various types of lacing.
Install all types of lacing using the proper machines and hand tools.
Ensure that belts are within tolerance when laced.
WELD AND FABRICATE BELT
Understand which glues and cleaners to use for the type of belt and application being used.
Prepare and layout the belt for applying v-guides, cleats, sidewall, etc.
Setup, adjust and operate different presses and welding machines.
MAKE DIE CUT PARTS
Understand dies, punches and their uses to appropriately select them.
Setup and operate clicker press to cut and punch parts.
Complete quality control paperwork if required by OEM customers.
Close out orders in the computer system.
Check both incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage and report any abnormalities to supervisor.
Load or unload trucks as necessary via forklift or other means.
Label and put away incoming inventory and maintain record of locations if necessary.
Attend safety, training and other informational meetings.
Maintain a clean, organized work area.
Perform basic upkeep on equipment and tools.

Operates forklift truck to transport skids of paper to and from press and move empty skids to back of press for sheet delivery.
Responsible for staging paper to be used on upcoming job in press staging area.
Responsible for filling all press chemicals, loading inks, putting away inks when done with job and refilling process inks on press shelf when needed.
Understands the importance of environmental responsibilities and disposal of press waste
Responsible for ensuring all used rags are disposed of in rag bin and that the lids remain closed
Responsible for ensuring only one drum of AQ flush water and one drum of fountain solution flush water remain at the press.
Removes any full AQ/Fountain solution flush water drums from press to Non-Hazardous waste staging area.
Ensures that any new drum used to collect waste at the press are properly labeled
Responsible for cleaning ink knives, cleaning ink fountains, cleaning water buckets, cleaning any coater spills, cleaning washer blades and keeping the press area in a clean state, as well as emptying all garbage bins in press area.
Responsible for picking up used rags and gloves in press area, changing rag bag when full and maintaining stack of clean rags for use on the press.

- Production Technician 1 Strapper in Commerce, CA.
Responsible for palletizing finished goods and ensuring the pallets are wrapped in a manner that maintains stability and neatness, as well as perform the duties of a PT1 Feeder as needed.
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of assigned equipment.
Key Duties / Responsibilities:
- Ensures finished goods are properly palletized, instructing the logistics tech to move product to finish location. (40%)
- Prepare all finished products according to established USPS standards; Demonstrates proficiency through the proper recognition of the printed address labels on finished products. (40%)
- Load material into main machine component. (10%)
- Clear jams and address errors on end of line machine components. (5%)
- Operate a pallet jack. (5%)

Make minor non-mechanical adjustments to ensure safety and maintenance procedures are followed.
Operate a pallet jack.
PT1 - Feeder Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Load and unload materials into the machine.
Respond to the indicator lights and display screens and know the actions required to mitigate the issue.
Adjust machine components as needed.
Verify correct material is on the production line.
Ability to work with machine interface / machine controls.
Perform basic machine setup and troubleshooting as needed.
Education & Knowledge:
High school diploma or equivalent education certification preferred.
Ability to speak and communicate effectively utilizing the English language
Experience / Skills / Abilities:
0 – 1 year related experience.
Ability to multi-task.
Basic math skills.
Works with sense of urgency.
Attention to detail.
Team player (works well with others).
Ability to assess obstacles and take corrective action.

- Communicate with team members.
- Ability to work overtime, beyond regular schedule, to complete work assignments as required.

Conveyor Maintenance Tech
Immediate need for an experienced Conveyor Maintenance Tech / Equipment Tech to troubleshoot, repair and maintain roofing supply products. Everything from conveyor lifts, truck mounted cranes, generators and small engine repair.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for the Conveyor Maintenance Tech / Equipment Tech position include:
- Dismantles machines & equipment to gain access to problem area.
- Removes and replaces worn or defective parts of drive mechanism, electrical or hydraulic system. Realigns & adjusts components.
- Starts machines & equipment to test operation following repair.
Qualifications for the Conveyor Maintenance Tech / Equipment Tech position include:
- High school diploma or GED plus at least 4-5 years related mechanical, hydraulic & electrical maintenance and repair experience.
- Troubleshooting experience with electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment is required.
- Previous MIG or stick welding experience is also required
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as instructions, procedure manuals and the ability to write routine reports or correspondence
- Must be able to communicate, both verbal and written, effectively with customers or other employees
- Must own a proper set of tools based on experience level and a pair of steel toe boots.
- A valid Utah driver with an acceptable driving record. Class A CDL license is a plus.
