Your daily responsibilities include
SUMMARY: Support the Sous Chef in the successful production of raw and/or cooked food products for culinary operations at Hollywood Casino. The position will be engaged in safe and efficient preparation utilizing various cooking techniques and equipment for consumption by guests, commissary and/or main kitchen production of batch recipes, hot and cold food preparation work.
Safe and efficient production of food products including quality and quantity control, par levels, food storage, and product rotation, cutting, slicing, sauté, frying, mixing, grilling, mixing, etc.
Commissary and/or main kitchen production of batch recipes, hot and cold food preparation work.
Follow Standard Operational Procedures (SOP's) and production list to meet required par levels and specifications for assigned station or duties at Hollywood Casino.
Maintain Board of Health sanitation standards, kitchen and personal hygiene and cleanliness, as well as food service techniques and safety all with regard to the safe handling of food products for guests' consumption.
Display knowledge of all emergency procedures.
Communicate on a consistent basis with supervising chef, keeping them abreast of department activities, and ensure that kitchen and equipment are in good working order and that the work area is clean and hazard-free.
Notify supervising chef immediately if kitchen and equipment are not in good, safe working order.Work efficiently with co-workers in any kitchen environment.
Provide positive communication and use Red Carpet Service skills with every patron and co-worker.
Perform duties in a safe manner; report any potential safety hazards to management staff.
Perform any reasonable, temporarily assigned job duties outside the position's job description where, in the Company's judgment, those duties are necessary in the interest of efficiency, productivity, or guest service.
To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set
High School Diploma or GED required. College degree or culinary arts degree is preferred. At least 2 years experience in production, institutional, and batch recipe cooking and/or preparing. Entry-level Cook experience and knowledge and experience in the use of kitchen equipment such as knives, stoves, ovens, fryers, steamers, choppers, grinders, mixers, sealers, etc. Serve-safe certified preferred.

Under general supervision of the Food & Beverage Supervisor, maintains an efficient food operation by preparing hot and cold food items in accordance with production requirements, recipes and established safety policies and procedures.
Provides excellent internal and external guest services, treating all guests with courtesy and consideration at all times.

Monitors production and service levels by interacting with guest and staff

Six (6) months of previous work experience in the food industry.
Must be 18 years of age.
Required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and obtain and maintain a gaming license issued from the Osage Nation.
Required to provide documents to show the applicant is eligible to work in the United States.
Osage, Native American, and Veteran preference shall apply to all positions at Osage Casinos.

Cooks at the Tampa Convention Center are responsible for culinary job functions of a particular section of the main kitchen or other concession stand kitchen, kiosk or other assigned outlet. Accurately and efficiently cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot food products as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking. Also perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all menu item plates.

Answers telephone in a courteous manner, using name, title and location, within four rings, relaying information to appropriate nurse on a consistent basis.
Answers patient calls via intercom within one minute and refers message to appropriate nurse to promote prompt service to the patients on a consistent basis.
Notifies Charge Nurse/RN of pending admissions; notifies nurse of patient's arrival on unit or return to room from surgery/procedure with no more than three (3) documented variances, as observed by Charge Nurse/RN.

Labels charts and door with appropriate identification, allergy information and other pertinent information.

Accurately posts all admissions, transfers and discharges on activity boards and desk calendars each shift on a consistent basis, as observed by Charge Nurse/RN.
Assists physicians in locating charts, reports and equipment; notifies Charge Nurse/RN of physicians' arrival on unit on a consistent basis.
Greets family, visitors and other hospital personnel courteously, providing information and/or directions to appropriate place or person.
