Laundry/Sewing Room Worker I Performs entry–level laundry work. Work involves loading and unloading washer/extractors and dryers, sorting soil linens and clothing, working with flatwork ironer, thermopatch machine and tying machine. Work also includes sorting and folding clean clothing and linens. The Laundry/Sewing Room Worker I may be a team leader when more than one employee is performing the same tasks. TOOL ROOM TECH
ZACHRY is currently seeking an experienced Industrial Tool Room Technician worker for outage work.
A Tool Room Technician will control the inventory, storage, and issue of tools, small equipment, and selected consumable supplies. In addition, the position will be responsible for small tool repair including hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools.
Must have 2+ years experience working for an industrial construction project. Must posses all Knowledge Skills and Abilities for positions (see below). Must be able to meet all physical requirements. Must have reliable transportation.
Receive and count stock items, and issue upon receipt of appropriate authorization. Unpack delivered goods and store in appropriate location until issue.
Maintain inventory control by continuous tracking and inventory updates. Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas. Use identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment to mark all goods.
Clean, maintain, and repair supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities. Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors. Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.
Must have 2+ years experience working for an industrial construction project in the warehouse or equivalent material handler position. Must be able to repair and inspect hand and power (electrical and pneumatic) tools.
Must have working knowledge of the basic processes and equipment used in the construction of a Combined-Cycle Power plant Must be organized and have the ability to complete an accurate count on items received. Must have good communication skills, including the ability to read and write effectively. Must be familiar with basic computer operations.
Must be able to follow directions. Must be able to use tools such as hammers and drills in order to open crated materials received or to crate materials that are scheduled to be shipped.
