Cooling Section Operator. . . SUMMARY: Inspects and Repairs materials, products, and components for conformance to specifications by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: other duties may be assigned. 1.Responsible for operation of machine in compliance with Standard Operating Procedure. Including all operational and lock out tag out procedures. Maintains top speed while making a quality product at all times possible. 2. 3.Inspects product for correct color, backing applications, seal back on the sheet, release tape application, and talc application and notifies appropriate operator of corrections as needed. 4.Monitor the press; cooling section and pull roll area to avoid buildups, stick-ups, and bleed through, and wet sheet. 5.Assists in tape changes and makes talc batches for the talc application. 6.Inspects product to ensure compliance with quality standards. 7.Assist in product changes, threading of machine, and sheet breaks. 8.Perform routine testing for granule adhesion, (rub test), and record data.
Also inspects and records all other quality data such as tape, talc placement, talc % tests. 9.Detect and report faulty operation, defective material and equipment, and other unusual conditions to proper personnel and Supervisor. Collaborate with appropriate personnel to transmit and exchange information pertinent to work related activities, through quality check sheets, and the mechanical and electrical problem log sheets. 10.Meets all physical demands of the position as more fully described below. 11.Works scheduled shifts and overtime as assigned. 12.Performs all work in safe, efficient manner and follows all safety procedures .Directly responsible for knowing all lock out tag out requirements. 13.Maintains work area in neat and orderly condition per the housekeeping procedures. 14.Performs other duties as assigned. Additionally, a high degree of quality knowledge of each product made to be able to make decisions on the quality of those products. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to solve problems involving a few concrete functions of this job. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to wear and use required safety equipment, including safety glasses, steel-toe safety shoes, hearing protection, head protection, and gloves.

Read dials and gauges on panel control boards to ascertain temperatures, alkalinities, and densities of mixtures, and turn valves to obtain specified mixtures. Correct machinery malfunctions by performing actions such as removing jams, and inform supervisors of malfunctions as necessary. Operate or tend equipment, such as cooling and freezing units, refrigerators, batch freezers, and freezing tunnels, to cool or freeze products, food, blood plasma, and chemicals.

Ability to use tape measurer, calipers, micrometers for precise measurements matching print specifications.
Fabrication of piece parts as per schematic under supervision of a Lead.
Ability to read blueprints and program machining equipment to produce required parts
Ability to use metal working manipulation machinery (brake, shear, saw, punch etc.).
