Job Summary: Reporting directly to the Inspection Manager, candidate will be responsible for the successful preparation and inspection of tubular goods.
Job Duties: Perform inspection of oilfield tubular goods utilizing proper procedures and equipment. Maintenance of equipment, clean up activities of the work area, provide employee training, produce various inspection reports and supervise subordinate personnel.
Level II certification.in MT 2, EMI, and UT 1 inspection.
Should be able to read, write and comprehend the English language. Ability to follow instructions.
Pipe inspectors, in the pipe mill, visually inspect the outside and inside
surfaces of each pipe, inspects pipe ends (bevels and lands), makes all
appropriate dimensional measures of the pipe (diameter, wall thickness, ovality,
straightness, etc.). This is all done after the mill's inspectors declare a pipe
as "prime", Intertek inspectors then re-inspect to ensure the pipe meets
specifications (too often it does not). Maintains an inspection log recording
all dimensional and acceptability information, interfaces with mill inspectors.
Coating inspectors, in the coating plant, monitors all coating parameters such
as quality of incoming bare pipe, anchor patterns after grit blasting, furnace
temperatures, powder purity, powder and grit storage parameters, and monitors
all holiday testing, monitors calibration of holiday tester. Keeps records of
Loadout inspectors oversee railcar and truck loading to ensure loads meet
specifications, pipe shipping damage is minimized, monitors pipe numbers that
are loaded are accepted "prime", monitors mill's load tallys.

99. Installs expansion and discharge valves in circuit.
99. Connects motors, compressors, temperature controls, humidity controls and circulating ventilation fans to control panels and connects control panel to power source.
99. Installs air and water filters in completed installation.
99. Injects small amount of refrigerant into compressor to test systems and adds freon gas to build up prescribed operating pressure.
8. Observes pressure and vacuum gauges and adjusts controls to insure proper operation. Tests joints and connections for gas leaks, using gauges or soap-and-water solution.
9.Wraps pipe in insulation batting and secure them in place with cement or wire bands.
10. Replaces defective breaker controls, thermostats, switches, fuses and electrical wiring to repair installed units, using electrician's hand tools and test equipment.
11. May install, repair and service air conditioners, ranging from fifteen to twenty tons cooling capacity, in warehouses and small factory buildings.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsible for conforming to all safe work practices and procedures.
Four years' experience in HRAC mechanical and machine equipment repair, plus knowledge of the use of specialized tools to perform necessary repairs and to troubleshoot equipment.
Must possess valid state's driver's license and be able to obtain military driver's license within 30 days.
Specific positions require individual to pass an annual physical examination.
Must have Universal Technician Certification for specific position or obtain certification with 60 days.
Must be able to stand, sit, bend, reach and walk for extended periods of time.
Must be a US Citizen with ability to pass a background check.
