PENDING REGULATORY APPROVAL*
Responsible for executing assigned marketing concepts through writing copy. Conceptualizes all copy for assigned projects.

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set
Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university in Advertising, Marketing, Creative Writing, Communications, or other related field; two to three years' experience with copy writing, preferably in an advertising related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have comprehensive knowledge of copy development, including overall organization, direct fact checking, appropriate referring, fair balance, and other regulatory requirements.
Must have working knowledge of best practices for copy a variety of marketing channels including but not limited to print ads, direct mail, digital, and social.
Must possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Must have technical proficiency and knowledge in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
Ability to adapt to changes in prioritization or schedules of items in the work queue as necessary when communicated/directed.

Summary of This Role
The Copywriter will report to the content manager and will work closely with peers and marketing team to write and execute engaging creative deliverables for advertising, direct mail, collateral development, email and online/web marketing content in a B2B environment.
As a member of the creative copy team, this position will be responsible to create "Best-of-Brand" sales-driven copy for TSYS divisions (Merchant/Health/FI/ISV) and partners to increase leads/conversion and leverage time-sensitive offers/incentives.
As a collaborative member of the team, the copywriter will report to the content manager and work closely with marketing managers, copy team members, design team members and senior staff to generate strategic sales-driven materials for offline and online, including direct mail, web banners, landing pages, eblasts webinars, eguides, email, white papers and more. Responsibilities also include the research and writing of effective product and thought leadership copy for company collateral, company web sites and customer offer e-mails.
What Part Will You Play?
On a daily basis, the copywriter will work with peers and supervisors to execute and deliver brand messaging/ and a consistent company voice throughout all marketing pieces, edit and proofread copy for consistency and accuracy in compliance with established formats, as well as coordinate all creative copy for special projects, coordinate with marketing and internal requestor teams to determine target audience, messaging, incentive offers and call-to-action that are effective and drive sale leads/conversion.
As a successful member of this team, the copywriter will demonstrates a commitment to total quality and the process of continuous improvement, identifying and responding actively and with sensitivity to the needs of all customers and being open and responsive to change. The copywriter can perform work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and consistently meet time-sensitive deadlines for print publication and Internet transmission, handle day-to-day responsibilities with minimal supervision; be organized and self-directed; be able to prioritize and complete standard tasks within deadlines without supervision

What you'll be doing...
You will be a key creative contributor to the Verizon Enterprise Solutions Marketing team by writing copy for various deliverables across the organization. You should always have a finger on the pulse on how to create clear and compelling copy that resonates with audiences to convey the intended message.
Assets you will write for includes short form and long form content such as:

Communication is a big part of the job, so you will contribute to the entire creative process and will work collaboratively with all team members including third party agencies. Develop compelling content for marketing messaging and campaigns
Develop position and promotional materials for the Commercial team
Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities:
Plan, develop, organize, write and edit manuals, application notes, web content, brochures and other product and marketing collateral as required for both electronic and hard copy formats
Maintain up to date knowledge of technical terms, trends in application relevant language and technologies.
Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style and content in line with Thermo Scientific brand guidelines
Manage updates and revisions to technical and marketing literature
Work with Product Managers, Application Scientists, Marketing teams and Regional Sales teams to understand product features, value propositions, customer needs and applications.
Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in physical or life science, chemistry or engineering discipline.
Proven experience with Chromatography preferable
Demonstrated confidence in written, interpersonal and oral communication is essential
Ability to understand technology and articulate strong customer value/benefit propositions is critical.
Strong computer skills in office applications (e.g., MS Word) and presentation tools (e.g., MS PowerPoint), are critical.
Proven experience working in a technical copy writing position
Strong attention to detail
Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences
Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking
