Laminators assist with the "hands on" manufacture of structural aviation parts by performing techniques such as composite material preparation, hand lay-up, wet laminating, curing, and de-molding in a production environment by following engineering drawings and detailed work instructions.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED FOR POSITION
Education and/or Experience
· Entry Level Position
· Previous composite manufacturing experience preferred but not required
· High School degree or equivalent preferred but not required.
· Evaluation completed after 90 Day probation to determine skill set.
· One year of continuous work history highly desired

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following
· Ensures part kit and lay-up mandrel match by part number
· Unpacks part kit and organizes it according to the Planning Documents
· Fills out material data sheets as required by directions in the Planning
· Performs any remaining tool preparation as required in the Planning.
· Performs fabrication operations as necessary to ensure correct lay up of parts
· Cleans up work area as each ply is applied to prevent any foreign matter (FOD) inclusion in the part
· Requests help from trainers and/or leads at any time during the process insuring the part is correct and issues addressed while the part is in the lay-up stage
· Follows bagging procedures and performs leak test to ensure leak test passes or meets specifications
· Finishes fabrication of part by keeping the part under vacuum until it is ready for the Autoclave process
· Completes all data on fabricated parts as required by the Planning
· Follows any additional required work procedures as necessary for a given part. This may be in addition to the Planning procedure
· May be required to handle hazardous chemicals with proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
· Performs cleanup operations and work area as required by the Lead or Supervisor
· Performs other duties as assigned
· A clean room DOES NOT ALLOW ANY food, drink, gum, chewing tobacco, mints, etc. at any time
· Must wear cleanroom equipment and PPE such as lab coats, and gloves
· Gloves must be worn at all times while touching pre-preg materials

The ideal candid should be skilled in shipping, receiving, labor management, scheduling, delivery truck routing, inventory management, and inventory control at a lumber, plywood or building products distribution company. To be considered you need knowledge of building products, and experience managing people. Ideal candidate will have knowledge of heavy duty trucks (flatbeds and tractor trailers) and forklifts.
Tulnoy Lumber is a +85 year old financially secure building materials distribution wholesaler. We operate three distribution yards and maintain a multimillion dollar inventory. We operate three railroad sidings and run a fleet of 28 trucks. We service customers from Massachusetts to Pennsylvania and New Jersey including metropolitan New York.
Our company inventories spruce and fir lumber, douglas fir and yellow pine plywood, pine boards, fire retardant plywood, doors, nails, screws and related hardware items. Working knowledge of these items would be a plus.

Identifies wood species by sight. Sets up and operates woodworking machines such as power saws, jointer, and shaper, to cut and shape parts from woodstock. Trims component parts of joints to ensure snug fit.
Bores holes for insertion of screws or dowels. Drives nails or other fasteners into joints at designated places to reinforce joints. Sands and scrapes surfaces and joints of articles to prepare articles for finishing.
