Understands the importance of documenting patient health information. Works with quality assurance methods, tools and techniques.
This is a part time time position of 24 hours per 2 week pay period working varied shifts. Typically working rotating shifts between the hours of 7:00 am and 8:00 pm along with rotating weekends and on-call schedule.
Associates degree in Laboratory Science required.
Possess a national certification for Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT) through an approved Health and Human Services (HHS) agency, for example American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP); or be registry eligible. Registry eligible candidates must successfully complete the Board of Registry examination within 12 months of employment.
If working in North Dakota (ND), must be licensed or have a provisional license, by the ND Board of Clinical Laboratory Practice. Maintain continuing education credits equivalent to the state requirements as needed for license and certifications. May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
