The Fastener Engineers role is to support the organizations fastener procurement and distribution activities including but not limited to fastener drawing interpretation, CAD/math interpretation and plotting. Obtaining and communicating fastener standards and specifications, providing guidance to management, peers, suppliers and Customers on fastener design requirements, and being a proactive proponent of the quality management system among others.

Design fasteners (2D and 3D) and release them into the Zoox Fastener library.
Develop, write and publish fastener design and installation specifications.
Provide consultation to design engineering on proper fastener selection considering assembly performance requirements, corrosion, and manufacturing.
Perform detailed analysis of fastened joints (e.g. torque vs. clamp load).
Establish test requirements necessary to validate fasteners and specific joints.
Create 3D CAD models and 2D design engineering prints of fasteners. Preferably in CATIA V5/V6

Converts raw materials and assembles component parts into finished goods as directed by the department supervisor or designate by performing the following duties.

Start rate: $19.35 Per Hour + $.70 per hour shift premium for Grave shift (11:00PM to 7:00AM, Monday – Friday + O/T as required). Note that the work day is designated by the day the shift ends. The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
Processes non-metallic corrugated products from start to completion of process. Mainly responsible for processing HRP-C, HRP flex core, 16# HDC, and 17.5# HDC products. Performs a wide variety of tasks associated with corrugated products to include, sheet trim, lay-up, adhesive cure, splicing and inspecting.
Checks material for visual defects prior to packing and reports any problems to a supervisor. Responsible for setup and operation of the vertical saws, Black Brothers Roll Coater, and Watlow controlled dispatch ovens. Inspects and presents to customers products that meet or exceed the product specifications.
Releases FAS paperwork for all corrugated products slices. Performs various computer transactions to issue raw materials, WIP materials, and stocks inspected slices for shipment. Performs source inspections and wraps and packs products.
Ensures that products meet customer specifications and expectations. Works in a team environment to reach consensus decisions within the guidelines and boundaries established by the company, and maintains constructive relationships with co-workers. Operates at all times in compliance with the Hexcel Casa Grande Quality System and Quality Policy.
Complies with Hexcel policies, procedures, and Code of Business Conduct. Qualifications High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent. Minimum of one year experience required preferably in manufacturing.
Minimum of 6 months manufacturing experience in the Hexcel Casa Grande facility may substitute in lieu of one year experience. Must be proficient in use of tape measure and ruler. Basic working knowledge of computer data entry function preferred.
