Licensed Sprinkler Fitter
We’re looking to add another Sprinkler Fitter to our already well-established team. If you’re licensed Sprinkler Fitter in the state of Wisconsin, have at least 5 years of experience, and are looking to join a company with a culture worth being a part of, then apply today!
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Read and interpret fire protection, architectural, and structural plans and specifications
- Installation and testing of various types of fire protection systems in new and existing buildings to meet the requirements of NFPA standards and associated codes
- Communicate with Dave Jones, Inc. office personnel, General Contractors and subcontractors in a professional manor
- Knowledge, experience and ability to perform all duties associated with cutting, fitting and piping connections to industry standards.
- Experience and ability to prepare and layout all associated material and equipment from fire protection fabrication drawings for installation
- Complete required paperwork and electronic forms to include:
- Timekeeping, Toolbox Talks, Project Progress Forms, Job Site Safety Start-ups, Daily Logs, Material Requests and Material Returns
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Mentor and train apprentices
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
- Licensed Sprinkler Fitter in the State of Wisconsin
- Working knowledge of NFPA Standards to include NFPA 13, 13R, 14, 20 and 25
- Minimum 5 years Sprinkler Fitter experience
- Experience in residential and commercial projects
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable means of transportation
- Ability to travel to all areas of work including potential overnight stays
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Capable of working over-head from ladders, elevated platforms and surfaces
- Ability to continuously lift and/or handle 75 pounds
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding work environment with the potential to be exposed to weather elements
- Backflow certification is a plus
- Previous experience as a crew leader is a plus

At Halls Kansas City, the Alterations department is known for its expert tailoring of men’s and women’s clothing. In addition, the department is responsible for working on items for the Visual Merchandising Department, Store Operations and other areas as needed. Principle accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
Performs wide variety of alterations required to fit customer requests: hand and machine work, shoulder, hem, collar, and sleeve work, sizing garments, repairs defective merchandise.
Analyzes garments to see what alterations are required, reconstructs garments as needed, has knowledge of and works with special care fabrics, prices alterations according to work performed.
Checks appointments daily and makes sure the garments are ready for the customer at the appointed time.
Works closely with others in the department to answer questions about fitting, construction, and fabric on the garments.
Remains available as needed for unscheduled fittings during the day.
- Performs other duties as assigned. Store basic hours are Mon-Sat, 10-7, Sun 12-6 with extended hours during the Holiday season. Work hours will vary within and outside of store hours and include holidays, weekends and evenings.

General Labor - Fitter / Installer
The primary responsibility of a Fitter (Laborer / Installer) is to safely and properly install/remove the VPS rental equipment. This requires the Fitter to be able to work at elevated height, have a basic understanding of hand tools, and be able to lift 10 to 100 pounds on a continuous basis. Duties & Responsibilities:
Adhere to the Health & Safety policies and wear prescribed PPE
Adhere to VPS policy and procedures
Use proper VPS procedures for installing, removing, servicing, transporting and storing all VPS equipment
Accurately measure openings, so the correct equipment is installed
Assemble VPS equipment according to the measurement sheet
Load/unload trucks and vans as directed by Team Leader
Keep warehouse and trucks clean as directed by Team Leader
Accurately record equipment installed/removed on Job-sheet / Worksheet.
Report any unsafe jobsite conditions or hazards to Team Leader and follow his/her instructions
All hand tools are property of VPS and must be kept in proper working order
Clean, paint and repair VPS equipment returned from rental site and replace in its proper position in the warehouse after a removal
Knowledge of the construction, landscaping or maintenance fields
Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and a drug test
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean history / record
