Description Position Purpose & Summary The Cargill Cotton Analytics leads is responsible for leading the Global Trade Analytics strategy, development and accuracy of Cargill Cottons in-house supply and demand forecast, leading and developing price forecast and key tag to the non-fundamental analysis group. The position will work globally within the GTA framework and analyzing crop production and will have 1 direct report located in Memphis. Leveraging our internal analytics as well as outside data in order to fully monetize trading opportunities is a key deliverable in the position. The Cotton analytics lead must be a subject matter expert in analytics, statistics, have a strong understanding of crop production, demand and trade flows and must be able to communicate complex issues and forecast methods in a simple manner. Principal Accountabilities 35% Responsible for developing a strategy to ensure the Cotton product line has world class analytics. Lead and/or influence a team of analysts across the GTA space in cotton production and NFA analytics... 35% Lead global cotton supply and demand analysis with a focus on production in key geographies and demand/global trade flows. Work closely with commercial team in assessing demand as well as leading and developing proprietary models. Serve as liaison with NFA team in leveraging proprietary models in the cotton product line. 20% Ensure accurate and best in class methods of analysis are used consistently within the business. Identify and leverage 3rd party data that can be leveraged with internal forecasting and models. 10% Ensure timely communication with the Global Trading Analytics teams regarding supply and demand changes, and look for ways to leverage insights across platforms

Your tasks and responsibilities The primary responsibilities of this role, Seed Quality Specialist, are to:
Follow all safety policies and comply with all Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) requirements. Follow all Quality Management System (QMS) Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Work Instructions, Standards, and Stewardship Directives;
Oversee the accuracy of testing performed on bulk and finished seed to verify traits and demonstrate compliance with all quality standards. Prepare and ship samples to third party labs;
Maintain all quality assurance results in SAP, Contract Production Management (CPM), Excel or any other databases;
Train and lead site employees to verify proper procedures are followed during all Quality Assurance (QA) testing with emphasis on quality preservation, seed cleaning effectiveness, and final product appearance;
Perform checks on generated data to verify the accuracy of the test methods and equipment;
Conduct inspections as directed by the fuzzy seed warehouses and the plant prior to introducing a different variety to ensure the buildings and equipment do not contain other seeds which could result in varietal contamination;
Maintain a log of activities with documented results for tests, procedures, inspections, and calibrations of equipment;
Control costs by accurate testing of seed samples, effective use of supplies and equipment and management of inventory of supplies;
Foster a team approach to site challenges and develop local solutions. Work closely with other team members to ensure quality of work and quality of seed being produced is the best in the industry;
